This is a record of historical moments, taken in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1970. **Middle, from left to right, are Zhang Yufeng, the life and confidential secretary of ***, **myself, ** chief Wu Xujun and barber Zhou Fuming.

Despite the fact that *** is wearing a tunic and the others are wearing military uniforms, his expression is slightly sad in **, as if he is hiding some unspeakable secrets. Zhang Yufeng was the right-hand man of *** in his later years, and was a waiter on the *** special train, and later became his personal secretary.

She is married, her husband Liu Aimin is a director of the Ministry of Railways, and they have two daughters. Despite Zhang Yufeng's special status, she has always been conscientious and dedicated to serving ***, becoming one of his most trusted staff.

* Zhang Yufeng and others wore 65-style military uniforms, which are known as the most beautiful military uniforms and are still loved by military fans. The Type 65 military uniform is the longest-equipped, largest-numbered, and most widely circulated military uniform in the history of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, creating a miracle in the history of the Chinese ** uniform.

Although we can't know what *** was thinking when he took this photo**, it is certain that he has a deep love for Hangzhou. Because, he participated in the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China as a representative of the Hunan Party organization, and returned to Hunan from Jiaxing to Hangzhou.

This may be a small testimony of his Chinese history.

In 1949, the People's Republic of China was founded. Since then, ** has come to Hangzhou almost every year, sometimes for a few days, sometimes for two or three months. According to statistics, during his stay in Hangzhou, he presided over at least 27 important meetings, including 5 enlarged meetings of the Politburo Standing Committee.

He also presided over the drafting of the first "Constitution of the People's Republic of China (Draft)" and other important documents in Hangzhou, and organized the study of the Soviet Union's "Political Economy (Textbook)" and went deep into the grassroots investigation and research.

**In conversations with the staff around him, he said many times that Hangzhou is his "second hometown". He came to Hangzhou 53 times and lived here for nearly 800 days.

On February 8, 1975, the 82-year-old *** came to Hangzhou again, which was also the last time he came to Hangzhou in his life. ** He was in good health in his later years, until the winter of 1971, when he gradually developed geriatric diseases.

In February 1972, ** suffered from severe hypoxia due to cor pulmonale and suddenly went into shock. After timely rescue by the medical team, his condition gradually improved, but after all, *** is over seventy years old.

In the spring of 1974, **'s physical condition was worrying, mainly manifested as right side paralysis, hemiplegia symptoms of mild stroke, muscle atrophy of the right lower limb, weakness of hands and feet; There are language barriers, and speech is slurred, sometimes even difficult for staff who have followed them for many years to understand.

In addition, his binocular vision was gradually deteriorating due to cataracts. In the spring of 1975, **'s vision was close to blindness, and other physical conditions were also aggravating.

Therefore, he agreed to have a full medical examination. **Specially summoned well-known experts from several hospitals in Beijing such as ophthalmology, neurology and internal medicine to form an examination team to go to Hangzhou.

The physical examination, which lasted 4 days, not only confirmed that he had cataracts, but also found that he had pulmonary heart disease, coronary heart disease, pressure sores on his right arm, and low oxygen levels in his blood.

Considering his age, ** arranged for him to undergo cataract surgery.

Under the operation of the famous ophthalmologist Tang Youzhi, the operation of ** and Zhang Yufeng went very smoothly, and he was very happy that he could read books again after the operation. However, the excitement did not last long.

**On the fifth day after receiving cataract surgery, I suddenly burst into tears. According to Tang Youzhi's recollection, there were only two of them in the room at that time, and the *** with glasses on first read quietly, then whispered something, and finally suddenly cried, crying with grief and emotion.

Tang Youzhi saw him holding a book in his hand, his white hair trembled, crying very sadly, and he didn't know what to do, so he hurriedly walked over to comfort him, let him control his emotions, and don't hurt his eyes because of crying.

After a while, **'s mood gradually calmed down, and at the same time handed the book to Tang Youzhi, which was a song by the famous Southern Song Dynasty thinker Chen Liang's "Nian Nujiao Dengduojinglou".

Chen Liang fought against Jin all his life, and wrote to Emperor Xiaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty many times, resolutely opposing it"Partial stability", but unfortunately, he was imprisoned twice, and his ambition was not rewarded. As for why *** cried because of the poem, there are different opinions so far.

However, we can infer that ** has been longing to complete the reunification of the motherland all his life, and seeing that he has entered his old age and Taiwan is still not liberated, this may make him feel extremely sad in his heart.

The expression of *** in * is slightly melancholy, and the gaze is deep. His worries were not personal, but from a deep concern and love for his country and its people. Today is the 130th anniversary of his birth, and he has been dedicated to the public all his life, selfless dedication, and will always live in our hearts.

His patriotic spirit of patriotism and love for the people will always inspire every son and daughter of China.
