With the rapid recovery of the global tourism industry, the number of foreign tourists visiting China is growing rapidly. According to the latest data from South Korea, the number of South Korean tourists to China in January this year soared nine-fold year-on-year.
With the recovery of the tourism market, the departure hall of Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport in South Korea is bustling with people, and almost every check-in counter is busy. The reporter found that there was a long queue at the check-in counter to China, and there were many South Korean people inside.
South Korea's latest data shows that more than 140,000 South Koreans visited China last month, a year-on-year increase of 908%. In order to cope with the personnel exchanges between the two countries and meet the needs of South Korean people to travel to China, South Korean airlines are resuming previously interrupted routes, including Incheon to Zhengzhou and Busan to Xi'an. Among them, Korean Air's Incheon-Zhangjiajie route resumed after four years after being suspended due to the epidemic.
Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province is very popular with Korean tourists, and most of them travel for families.
The Korean people have a soft spot for Zhangjiajie, and South Korea even has such a saying, "If you are filial to your parents, send them to Zhangjiajie for tourism". A well-known travel agency in South Korea recently said that since the beginning of this year, the proportion of consumers under the age of 60 who have booked Zhangjiajie tourism products is 66%, and the consumer group aged 40 to 50 who travel with their parents has grown rapidly, and Zhangjiajie's travel label in South Korea is changing from "silver travel" to "family travel".
In the past, South Koreans tended to travel to China to natural landscapes, but since the beginning of this year, the demand for urban sightseeing and health care and leisure has increased, and the number of South Korean people who choose to travel to Shanghai, Qingdao, Yantai and other places has increased significantly.
Hainan is becoming a new choice for South Koreans to go abroad for vacation.
At present, major travel agencies in South Korea are actively planning travel products to China, and with the recent further relaxation of Hainan's visa-free policy, Hainan tourism has attracted special attention. For South Koreans, it only takes about four and a half hours to fly from South Korea to Hainan, China, and Hainan is becoming a new choice for South Korean people to vacation.
