Xu Huimin is the head of the Shangkou Branch Management Station of the Beijing Ming Tombs Forest Farm Management Office. In 2012, when she first came to work at the forest farm, she was working in the agency of the forest farm. In 2021, the forest farm established a new Shangkou branch management station in the northernmost part of the jurisdiction, and the farm appointed her to organize work here, and Xu Huimin came over without saying a word.
Xu Huimin's family lives in Shunyi, Beijing, and it takes more than an hour to drive from home to the forest farm and take the expressway. As a young "post-80s" female cadre, Xu Huimin sacrificed a lot of time with her husband and daughter who had just entered elementary school, and took the "post-60s", "post-70s" and "post-90s" old, middle-aged and young people, determined to do a career in the Shangkou branch management station. Every year on the night of the thirtieth night of the Chinese New Year's Eve, Xu Huimin also goes out to inspect to see if anyone has set off fireworks at the edge of the forest. "When I go out on patrol during the Chinese New Year, I sometimes take my husband and daughter with me and tell them stories about our mountains, trees, and work. For Xu Huimin, the vigil on duty has long been a habit, and the most difficult thing is to deal with the relationship with the surrounding villagers. When Xu Huimin first arrived, some local villagers saw that she was a young female stationmaster, who was not very cooperative, and it was difficult to carry out the work.
Scolding is the most common during the Qingming Festival. A few years ago, the masses were still old in the old concept, we must burn paper when we go to the grave, we need to collect the fire source at the intersection, and we have to go to the scene to guard. Relying on a strong sense of responsibility and excellent professional ability, Xu Huimin led the team to operate the newly established 3-year-old Shangkou Branch Management Station, and the branch also won the title of Excellent Party Branch of the Ming Tombs Forest Farm Management Office in 2023.
Rooted in the mountains and forests, on duty day and night, Xu Huimin and her team members regard the forest farm as their home. But they are all very optimistic, and they joke with each other outside of work, so they don't feel hard.
