The essentials of high scores in interview review are also the fundamental principles for answering

Mondo Education Updated on 2024-02-04

This year, due to some changes, there was no interview class, and there was no article for a long time, and many students asked me how to review the interview.

I've been answering this question for years, and I feel like I've answered almost all of them.

Today, I want to post this article from the examiner's point of view, and tell you about the real high-score review method for the interview, which may not be useful for some students, but for others, it may be lacking such a thing.

There are only two tips for high scores in interviewsOne is the content, which is as consistent as possible with the scoring reference, and it is best to surpass the scoring reference; One is to answer the question, as fluent as possible, and it is best to be able to speak and emotionally.

There is not much to say about the latter.

Today I will focus on the former, and I will break down this problem into a few small questions to illustrate.

1. What is a scoring reference?

In a formal public examination interview, the question usually consists of a question book and a scoring reference, the question book is the question, and the scoring reference is the analysis of the main points of the question.

The difference with reference is that reference is the complete answer, while the scoring reference only has the main points, similar to the relationship between the article and the outline.

The scoring reference of some questions will make a more comprehensive and detailed analysis of the topic, and the main points of the topic will basically be listed, while the scoring reference of some questions is more general, with only a directional explanation.

This is mainly due to the characteristics of the questions themselves, such as some open-ended questions, which do not have relatively fixed answers, in this case, the scoring reference is more general.

2. Why should there be a rating reference, or what is its importance?

We must know that the interview is a subjective test, and each interview is composed of seven examiners, and these seven examiners come from different positions, have different education and work experience, and have different views on the problem, which leads to a large difference in the examiner's perception of the question itself.

Therefore, in this case, it is necessary to have a scoring reference, as a scoring scale, so that the examiner can have a relatively uniform standard when scoring.

Therefore, the vast majority of examiners will score candidates based on the similarity of their answers and scoring references.

In other words, the closer the candidate's answer is to the scoring reference, or even surpasses the scoring reference, the higher your score will be.

Therefore, the importance of scoring reference can be seen.

3. How to speculate on the scoring reference by yourself?

This is a core question, and based on years of personal research, I believe that the scoring reference has the following two characteristicsOne is comprehensiveness, and the other is depth.

The so-called comprehensiveness, literally, means that the scoring reference is more comprehensive in explaining the main points of the question, and knowing this has no effect.

I said itComprehensiveness, mainly, is that the scoring reference will usually cover every sentence of the question.

For example, this is a question asked by a student two days ago.

Example: In recent years, a special campaign to crack down on online rumors has been launched, and many online influencers and "public knowledge" have been investigated and punished. Some people say that this is a good thing, and some people think that it will harm citizens' freedom of speech, what do you think?

This student's answer to the question mainly revolves around the reason, that is, why the special action is carried out, such as Internet rumors will disturb the social atmosphere and cover up the truth.

That's a less comprehensive answer.

There are three parts to this topic, the first part is about the special action, the second part is about people saying that it is a good thing, and the third part is about people who think it will harm freedom of expression.

This student only answered the first and second parts, and did not cover the third part.

The design of the scoring reference is most likely divided into three points:

The first is to point out the significance of carrying out special actions; second, to refute ideas that undermine citizens' freedom of speech; The third is to appropriately put forward personal opinions and suggestions.

This student's answer only answered part of the first point, and the remaining two points were not involved, so the score will not be too high.

And specific to each point, it will basically cover all the points, such as the meaning here, which may damage public order, infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, destroy interpersonal trust, affect social cognition, and so on.

Therefore, comprehensiveness is the basis of scoring references.

Speaking of depth, not all scoring references have a certain depth, but some scoring references often have some particularly in-depth content.

For example, in a question involving the protection of citizen information in a certain province, the scoring reference appears that the network APP must follow the principle of "informed consent" in collecting citizen information, which basically no candidate will think of, but if a candidate happens to answer, it will inevitably become a bonus highlight.

For the depth, when you usually review, you don't need to be too demanding, and when you review to a certain point, you can properly grasp the relevant policies and regulations, professional terms, and take "learning to apply" as the principle.

If we master the scoring reference, we will master the direction of revision, so we can spend some time to study the possible scoring reference for the next question, which can not only improve our thinking, but more importantly, this process itself is a very effective interview training method.

If I have time in the near future, I will try my best to sort out the scoring references and standard answers of some questions for your reference.
