On January 27, U.S. time, the 2024 "Kung Fu Night" large-scale martial arts cultural event was held at the Chaburg College Comprehensive Arts Center in Hayward, East Bay, San Francisco.
The San Francisco Bay Area "Kung Fu Night" event has been held for 10 years so far, and each one is more exciting than the other. As an outstanding athlete, Zhao Qingjian won the championship in the National Wushu Championships, the National Games, the Asian Championships, the World Championships, and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, achieving the "Grand Slam" and becoming a legend in the martial arts world. After retiring, Zhao Qingjian taught at the Capital Institute of Physical Education and trained a large number of outstanding students. He has led students to participate in more than 30 national and international competitions, winning 45 gold medals, 38 silver medals and 38 bronze medals.
At the end of the program, teacher Zhao Qingjian led the martial arts team of the Capital Institute of Physical Education to perform on stage. On the stage, Zhao Qingjian's martial arts style is still the same as it was back then, with clean and smooth boxing movements and firm and confident eyes, vividly expressing his firm love for Chinese martial arts. Six martial arts students and two Chinese dance students cooperated to combine more than ten martial arts items such as flag dance, lion dance, double knife, southern boxing, Pu knife, swordsmanship, ground trip boxing, double whip, kung fu fan, tai chi boxing and other more than ten kinds of martial arts with Chinese dance, fully demonstrating the unique charm of martial arts and dance integration.
During the event, Mr. Zhao Qingjian also presented the four big characters of "Kung Fu Night" in Wu Bin's handwriting of the ninth section of Chinese martial arts to the organizing committee of this event. Teacher Wu Bin, who lives in Beijing, earnestly sent a message to the organizing committee: The road of martial arts is endless, and there is a long way to go to spread martial arts!
