With increasing globalization**, logistics has become a key link to the rest of the world. Recently, the logistics field in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area ushered in two good news: the official opening of the regular transportation route from Guangzhou to Kolkata, India, and the official start of the first 10-million-ton throughput public wharf project of Jieyang Port invested by Guangzhou Port Group. These two major measures will inject new vitality into the logistics development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and help the regional economy take off.

On February 27, India IndiGo Air flight 6E7306 took off from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and landed steadily at Kolkata Airport in India, marking the official opening of the regular route from Guangzhou to Kolkata. The opening of this new route not only shortens the distance between Guangzhou and Kolkata, but also extends the logistics network of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to the wider Indian Ocean coast. With the increasing frequency of travel, this route will become an important logistics channel connecting southern China and eastern India, promoting mutual benefit and win-win results for the economies of the two places.

On the same day, Northwest Cargo Airlines flight CO9635 flew from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, marking the official launch of Northwest Cargo's all-cargo route between Guangzhou and Hangzhou. The opening of this route is an important measure for Northwest Cargoline to expand its fleet and optimize its route network. With the commissioning of the fourth aircraft, Northwest Cargo's transportation capacity will be further enhanced, providing more convenient and efficient services for cargo exchanges between the Greater Bay Area and other regions.

On February 28, the first 10-million-ton throughput public wharf project of Jieyang Port invested by Guangzhou Port Group officially started construction. The commencement of this project will strongly support Jieyang's goal of building a world-class petrochemical industrial base. It is reported that the project will simultaneously build 6 berths, with a total design annual capacity of 12.3 million tons, which is the largest public wharf project ever built in Jieyang and the closest to international routes.

The completion of this project will greatly enhance the cargo handling capacity of Jieyang Port, make it better integrated into the world-class port cluster of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and further play an important supporting role in rejuvenating the city with Hong Kong, strengthening production with Hong Kong, and promoting connection with Hong Kong. At the same time, it will also strongly promote the logistics development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and help the Greater Bay Area become an important hub for global logistics.

The implementation of the two major projects has not only injected new impetus into the logistics development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, but also provided strong support for the prosperity and development of the regional economy. With the completion and operation of these projects, the logistics network of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be more perfect, and the transportation of goods will be more convenient and efficient, providing a solid logistics guarantee for promoting the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a world-class bay area and a world-class city agglomeration.

At a new historical starting point, the logistics development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is ushering in unprecedented opportunities. Let us look forward to the completion and operation of these projects, which will open a new chapter for the logistics development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area!
