Sun Yutian, a native of Qingxian County, Hebei Province, is the cousin of Sun Liangcheng, a general of the Northwest Army. In his early years, he joined the army and served as regiment commander and brigade commander in Song Zheyuan's department.
At the time of the Lugou Bridge Incident, Sun served as the commander of the Special Service Brigade of Song Zheyuan's 29th Army, and was stationed in Nanyuan (missing 1 regiment) at that time, under the command of Wang Xiding, deputy commander of the 38th Division, and Dong Shengtang, commander of the 114th Brigade and head of the Officer Education Corps, to defend Nanyuan. Dong ordered the Zhao Brigade to defend the southern camp area, which was the focus of the Japanese attack, and after fierce fighting, it was breached, and then changed to defend the west wall, during which it launched a counter-charge and recovered the lost position of the Xuebing Battalion. At this time, the main force of the 132nd Division had withdrawn from Nanyuan, and the unit received the order of the deputy army commander Tong Linge to break through to the south. It was not easy for Dong Yi to break through during the day, and he held on until dusk, and the unit launched a wave-like counter-charge and successfully broke through. Later, Dong Bu looked for the 38th Division, and Zhao Bu went to Baoding to return to the military department.
Later, Sun Yutian appeared in the ranks of his cousin Sun Liangcheng and followed Sun Liangcheng to fight guerrillas in Hebei and Shandong. When Sun Liangcheng was the director of the Luxi Agency, he established the Security Brigade of the Administration, and Sun Yutian served as the brigade commander. and Tang Enbo, Gao Shuxun, and Shi Yousan continued to fight infighting, but there was no achievement.
In May 1942, Sun Liangcheng surrendered to Japan and served as the commander-in-chief of the puppet Second Front Army. Sun Yutian served as the commander of the 37th Division directly under the headquarters.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Sun Liangcheng's puppet army Zhao Yunxiang rebelled in Yancheng, Sun was only more than 10,000 people, after several setbacks, was reduced to the temporary 25th division, Sun Liangcheng served as the division commander, Sun Yutian, Wang Qinghan served as the brigade commander. Later, it was expanded into the 107th Army, which was subordinate to the Xuzhou "Suppression General" Headquarters, and Sun Yutian served as the commander of the 261st Division. At this time, Sun Yutian was stationed in Huaiyin with the appeasement headquarters, and Sun Liangcheng and Wang Qinghan were stationed in Suqian. In the Battle of Huaihai, Sun Liangcheng and Wang Qinghan surrendered, and Sun Yutian was captured.
