Readers and friends, in this spring season, we can't help but think about an issue that is closely related to each of us - rural corruption.
This problem, like a cancer lurking in society, not only erodes the healthy development of the rural economy, but also threatens the foundation of social fairness and justice.
Today, I would like to share this topic with you and share a series of important steps to address this issue in 2024.
First of all, let us face up to the seriousness of corruption in rural areas, which has become a bottleneck restricting rural development in some areas.
The unhealthy tendencies of village cadres have not only harmed the interests of the peasants, but also damaged the image of the party and the party.
We attach great importance to this and are determined to take effective measures to resolutely crack down on corruption in rural areas, so as to protect the legitimate rights and interests of farmers and promote the in-depth implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
In 2024, a series of targeted measures will be introduced.
First of all, the appointment and assessment of village cadres have been strengthened, ensuring the openness and transparency of the selection and appointment process, and enhancing the sense of responsibility and mission of village cadres.
Secondly, a diversified supervision system has been constructed, including villager supervision, supervision by higher-level departments and social supervision, forming an all-round supervision network.
In addition, the reporting channels have been optimized, a real-time response reporting system has been established, the online reporting platform has been broadened, farmers are encouraged to actively report corruption, and the legitimate rights and interests of whistleblowers are protected.
At the same time, we should promote the transparency of rural governance, so that farmers can better understand and participate in rural governance.
Finally, we should strengthen innovation in rural governance, improve governance efficiency through scientific and technological means, and ensure the implementation of policies.
In analysing the root causes of rural corruption, we find that the lack of power oversight is key.
This requires us to carry out fundamental reform at the institutional level and establish and improve mechanisms for the operation and supervision of power.
At the same time, the problem of corruption in rural areas also reflects the lack of social fairness and justice. It is not only an economic issue, but also a social issue, which requires the joint attention and efforts of the whole society.
In order to tackle rural corruption, we need a multi-pronged approach of law, education and culture.
The law is the cornerstone of the fight against corruption, and we need to formulate strict anti-corruption laws and regulations, clarify the definition and punishment of corrupt behavior, ensure that the law is strictly enforced, and form a strong deterrent.
Education is an important way to improve farmers' awareness of the rule of law and their ability to participate in governance. By popularizing legal knowledge, we should raise farmers' awareness of the rule of law, so that farmers can use the law to build a line of defense against corruption.
Cultural construction can imperceptibly influence people's values. By promoting the core values of socialism, advocating a culture of integrity, using cultural activities and disseminating positive information, shaping good social customs, and making anti-corruption and clean government a social consensus.
These three complement each other to jointly build a rural governance environment that does not dare to be corrupt, cannot be corrupted, and does not want to be corrupted, and lays a solid foundation for the long-term stability and development of rural areas.
In the process of governance, we should pay special attention to the construction of long-term mechanisms. Avoid the phenomenon of sports governance and ensure the continuity and stability of governance results.
This requires us to constantly sum up experience, improve the system, and form a set of effective governance system.
Finally, I would like to stress that the solution to the problem of corruption in rural areas requires the participation of the whole society.
Each of us is a guardian of social fairness and justice, and we all have the responsibility to contribute to building a clean, just and harmonious rural environment.
Let us work hand in hand and look forward to a bright future for rural governance.
