I think this is a very effective means of dealing with the issue of running costs, including the purchase of film.
There are also many people who use film cameras for the first time, so they are equipped with several electronic controls. As one of them, I would like to customize an electronic shutter unit that has a proven track record for film mounting. This allows the camera to automatically control the aperture and shutter speed. Also consider that you can choose various photography modes by turntable, etc.
Focus is considered to be a manually set area focus. We also considered the structure of the area where the focal point was set when peeking through the viewfinder. In this regard, I want to add the fun of manual operation to the simplicity at the same time.
Regarding the loading of film, I would like to reproduce the manual winding mechanism designed on previous film SLR cameras as it is, so that you can directly use the tactile feeling of the time.
Of course, rewinding is also a manual rolling, and the steering wheel-like clips are removed and rotated after shooting, so that the film can be rewound.
The optical design that is the basis of the lens is based on the Pentax Espio mini, which many fans call a famous camera.
In fact, the prototype has already been completed. I tried to shoot it and was really happy. A very happy camera.
Pentax's film camera has been quite specific, and it feels like it's almost complete. Half-size cameras are based on portrait framing, so there is no sense of disobedience at all in the current era of smartphones, and it may be a good idea to save film costs.
In addition, the reel bar directly reproduces the tactile feel of a DSLR camera, so you expect a heavy operating feeling. This can be a fresh experience for someone who hasn't used an MF DSLR camera before.
