The l-mount alliance has grown from the original 3 companies to 8 companies, which is not only an important choice for still photographers but also for ** photographers. Partnering with other companies to cover areas that cannot be covered within Panasonic is also one of the grand strategies.

Due to the results of extensive optical research, it is possible to significantly reduce the size. For example, by using plastic molded aspherical lenses, extremely high performance was achieved while reducing the volume. In order to derive the best solution for performance and size, we did a lot of simulations.

The combination of bilinear motors, a revolutionary new technology and aspheric lenses, makes it possible to achieve miniaturization and high-speed and accurate AF. This linear motor is very compact, but it has 3 times the power of a conventional linear motor, and the focusing lens group can be controlled with a single motor. We are developing new 70-200mm or f12 lenses, it should be possible to take advantage of this technology.
