First, disassemble the charger housing along the housing seams.

The lower left corner is welded with PFC boost inductor, two high-voltage filter capacitors are welded in the middle position, a transformer is welded on the right side and one transformer is welded up and down, and the right side is welded with a filter solid capacitor and an output small board, and the back of the output small board is insulated with a Mylar sheet.

The upper left corner of the back of the PCBA module is welded with the PFC boost chip, the right side is welded with the PFC rectifier tube, and the bottom is welded with two rectifier bridges. Two highly integrated power chips are welded on the right side, the corresponding synchronous rectifier tube, and an optocoupler is welded in the upper right corner.

Through the observation of the PCBA module, it is found that the built-in PFC circuit of this charger will boost the input voltage and correct the power factor. It is equipped with two flyback switching power supplies, with a wide voltage range output, and the output voltage is controlled by the protocol chip to achieve dual-port independent fast charging output. When there is only one interface output, the two power outputs are automatically connected in parallel to meet the high-power output requirements. The input terminal is welded with a fuse, a common mode inductor, a safety X2 capacitor and a filter inductor, and the PFC boost inductor on the right side is tightly wound with tape insulation.

The input fuse is from Better Electronics, the discharge number is 932, and the specification is 5A 250V.

Common mode inductors are wound with enameled wire and insulated wire.

The two safety x2 capacitors are from Dongguan Chengxi, and the specification is 022μf。

The two rectifier bridges are from Diodes, model TT8M, specification is 8A 1000V, connected by two half-bridges, and the heat is evenly shared.

The thin-film filter capacitor is rated at 1 F450V.

The PFC boost controller is from PI, is the HiperPFS-4 series, model PFS7628C, with an integrated 600V MOSFET, which provides high power factor and high efficiency under various load conditions, and has 110W output power at 90VAC input voltage.

The PFC boost inductor is wound with an ATQ2516 core.

The PFC rectifier is from PI, model LXA03D530, which is a QSPEED series very low reverse recovery diode, with a withstand voltage of 530V, a current of 3A, and an SO-8C package.

The two high-voltage filter capacitors are from Fengbin, both with a specification of 33 F450V.

The main control chip of the switching power supply adopts PI INN3368C, which is the Innoswitch3-Pro series, which is a CNC constant voltage constant current offline flyback quasi-resonant switch IC that integrates high-voltage switching, synchronous rectification and FluxLink feedback function, with a very high degree of integration, suitable for high-efficiency USB PD 30+PPS QC adapter, under the condition of wide voltage range, it can output 50W power in the closed housing, and can output higher power when used with PFC.

The other power supply main control chip also uses the INN3368C main control chip.

The filter capacitor that supplies power to the main control chip is 47μf100v。

The transformer is made of ATQ2516 skeleton, the secondary stage is wound with multi-layer insulated wire, and the magnetic core is tightly wound with tape insulation.

The output filter capacitor is from Yongming, NPX series solid capacitor, with a specification of 1000 F25V.

Two protocol chips, four VBUS switches and two USB-C receptacles are welded on the front of the board.

The TVS diode is welded on the back of the small board for electrostatic protection.

The protocol chip adopts Yingjixin IP2726, which is a very widely used protocol chip. Yingjixin IP2726 is a fast charging IC that integrates multiple protocols and is used for USB output ports, supporting Type-C DFP and PD20/3.0、pps、qc4+、qc2.0/3.0、fcp、afc、scp、mtk pe+、apple2.4a、bc1.2 as well as protocols such as Samsung 2A. With high integration and rich functions, only a few peripheral components are required in the application, which effectively reduces the size of the overall solution and reduces the BOM cost.
