On the 1st, the reporter learned from the Fujian Tianbaoyan National Nature Reserve Administration that the background survey of macrofungal resources being carried out in the reserve has achieved phased results, and a total of 302 new local recorded species have been discovered.
Since its launch in June last year, this round of background survey has recorded a large number of large fungal objects** and collected numerous specimens. Among them, more than 500 resources have been effectively identified, and a total of 312 species of macrofungi of 141 genera and 60 families of 17 orders have been identified. Among these results, the mushroom order topped the list with 140 species, the red mushroom order ranked second with 47 species, and the third largest order was the polypore order with 31 species.
It is reported that the "Comprehensive Scientific Investigation Report of Fujian Tianbaoyan Nature Reserve" published in February 2002 recorded a total of 103 species of macrofungi. The background survey increased the number of recorded macrofungal species in the reserve to 405, of which 302 species were newly recorded, including Bald Marphyllum alba, Dicephalosporium orange-red and Boletus parvium.
Tianbaoyan Reserve is located in the territory of Yongan City, with a total area of 1650,000 acres, the altitude difference is relatively large, it is a nature reserve of forest ecosystem type. Thanks to the unique geographical location and natural conditions, the native ecosystem, biodiversity and rich genetic resources have been preserved, making Tianbaoyan Nature Reserve a rare place for rare wild animals and plants, fungi to inhabit and reproduce and a natural biological gene bank.
