Cross roller collars are packed into boxes to prevent rust and seal. (Fig1-1)
When storing crossed roller collars, store them horizontally in the state of THK factory packaging and avoid hot, highly humid environments.

One. To install the crossed roller collar, follow these steps:
Preparation before assembly.
1) Clean the support seat or other mounting parts thoroughly, and confirm whether there are burrs or burrs.
2) If there is a deviation in the seam of the outer or inner ring that is divided into two parts, gently correct it with a plastic hammer before inserting it. (For the rivet fixed type, please insert it directly.) )
Insert the crossed roller collar into the support seat or shaft.
The crossed roller collar is relatively thin and easy to tilt when inserted, so use a plastic hammer or other tool to gently tap the circumferential insertion while finding the level. Tap carefully until you hear a sound that fits perfectly into the collision surface.
Note) Hit the inner ring with a hammer when inserting the inner ring, and hit the outer ring with a hammer when inserting the outer ring.
Note) is equipped with an oil hole. In order to coat the inside with lubricant, design a structure that can directly inject grease into all oil holes. (When assembling, the distance to the lubrication hole installed on the support seat or rotating shaft should be shortened.) )
The assembly direction of the RU type and RAU type.
The outer ring of the RU type and RAU type is equipped with an insertion hole for mounting the roller. (The plug is installed.) When assembling, please pay attention to the mounting orientation and do not make the position of the plug overlap with the maximum load area. (The bolt part is slightly concave on the periphery, and the part where the fixing pin is hammered into the side.) )
The assembly direction of the RA-C type.
The outer ring of the RA-C type is machined with an opening for loading the roller.
When assembling, pay attention to the mounting orientation and do not make the opening processing part overlap with the maximum load area. (The opening processing part is a part with two small holes on the side where the product name is engraved.) )
Installation of fixed flanges.
1) The fixed flange is installed from the integrated rotary ring (the inner ring of the RB·RA type and the outer ring of the RE type). The RU type and RAU type are installed from the side of the rotating shaft.
2) After setting the fixing flange, turn the fixing flange several times to align the position of the mounting bolts. The same is true for the installation of the RU type, where the collar is turned several times to align the position of the mounting bolts.
3) Install the fixing bolts. When turning the bolt by hand, make sure that the bolt is not difficult to screw in due to the deviation of the bolt hole.
4) When tightening the fixing bolt, it is divided into 3 4 stages from incomplete locking to full locking, and the tightening is repeated many times in the order of the diagonal. When tightening the inner ring or outer ring that is divided into two parts, the outer ring side or inner ring side of the integrated type is reciprocated 4 to 5 times (about 90°) each time it is tightened, and the deviation of the two parts of the division in the alignment part can be corrected.
Recommended locking torque for fixing flanges and fixing bolts.
When locking the fixing bolts, tighten the bolts firmly with a torque wrench, etc. The bolt strength is classified as 129. If the support seat or fixing flange is made of general medium-hard steel, please refer to Table 3-1 for the locking torque.
Two. Lubrication.
When using crossed roller collars, good lubrication must be provided. If in a non-lubricated state.
Direct use may accelerate the wear and tear of the rolling part, thereby shortening its service life.
Lubricants have the following functions:
1) Reduce friction between moving parts, thereby preventing burns and reducing wear.
2) An oil film is formed on the rolling surface to reduce the stress acting on the surface and prolong the rolling fatigue life.
3) Cover the metal surface with an oil film to prevent rusting.
In order to fully utilize the function of the crossed roller collar, lubricate it according to the conditions of use. It is necessary to review the installation position of the grease nipple and piping joint according to the installation posture.
In addition, even with gaskets, the lubricant inside will gradually leak out during operation. Therefore, it is necessary to replenish the oil at appropriate intervals according to the conditions of use.
Grease lubrication.
The fatting interval varies depending on the conditions of use and the environment in which it is used. In general, the same series of grease is replenished every 3 to 6 months, even if the rotation frequency is low, so that the grease is distributed throughout the various structures inside the bearing.
Please set the final fatting interval and amount on the actual equipment.
Note) The standard is encapsulated with THK AFB-LF grease (lithium grease).
Oil lubrication. When lubricants are selected, they are shipped with VG68 lubricants, so please specify the oil you want to use when you order. The amount of oil to be fed varies depending on the rotation speed and the mode of operation. In particular, when the rotation angle is small and the swinging action is made, increase the frequency of oil feeding, or increase the amount of oil, and adjust the oil amount and greasing time interval to the optimal level so that the rolling surface forms an oil film. Confirm the draining of the lubricating oil from the end of the lubrication piping.
Lubrication method. There are two main ways to lubricate crossed roller collars: manual grease using a grease gun or hand pump, and forced oil using an automatic pump.
In addition, in order to perform efficient lubrication, it is necessary to install the appropriate oil nipples and piping fittings according to the mounting posture.
Manual fating method.
The most commonly used method of greasing is the method of periodic grease filling from the grease nipple mounted on the crossed roller collar and support seat using a grease applicator. When greasing crossed roller collars, follow the steps below.
1) Use a grease gun to grease the inside of the crossed roller collar.
2) When adding fat, rotate according to the fatting rotation of fatting....alternate greasing and rotation movements until the inside is greased.
Note) Just after adding grease, do not immediately rotate at the speed at the time of operation, but reduce the rotation speed for running-in operation. During the break-in operation, if grease spills out of the crossed roller collar, wipe it off. It is advisable to run the run-in until there is no grease spillage.
Forced fatting.
It refers to the method of using an automatic pump to forcibly replenish a certain amount of lubricant at a certain time interval. Usually, this lubricant is not ** after use. Although it is necessary to consider lubrication design such as piping, there is no need to worry about insufficient lubrication due to forgetting to replenish lubricant.
