Life is Simple".
1. The basic core of life is ordinary
Life is a miracle in the universe, and its ** is mysterious. Is it a product of evolution, or is it a creation of God? It doesn't matter. The important thing is to feel the miracle with your heart.
As a result, you will know how to appreciate the phenomena of life in nature and enrich your mind with their various forms.
Then, you will be kind to all living beings, from everyone you don't know, to an antelope, an insect, a tree, and from the bottom of your heart you will have a sense of closeness to all things.
Then you will have a sense of reverence for life and for the Creator who created it, whether people call it God or nature.
Love for life is the foundation of happiness, compassion for life is the foundation of morality, and reverence for life is the foundation of faith. The meaning of life, i.e., happiness at the secular level, morality at the social level, and faith at the transcendent level, all depend on the attitude towards life. Life is the foundation and core of human existence.
If you can't make a living and make a living, what is the value of personal achievements and entrepreneurship, wealth hunting?
What is the value of human beings ruling the country as a family and striving for hegemony, if the result is not to allow the people to live and work in peace and contentment?
There are too many rational accumulations of things: words, concepts, opinions, evaluations, and so on. There are also too many social accumulations in life: wealth, power, status, fame, and so on. Over time, the accumulation replaces the body, forming an unbreakable false world.
Man comes into the world first and foremost as a life. Life is originally simple. However, people's lives are becoming more and more complicated. Many times, we live not as a life, but as a desire, an ambition, an identity, a title, not for life, but for wealth, power, status, fame. These social accumulations obscure life, and we regard them as more important than life, and spend a lifetime of energy for them, not hearing or hearing the voice of life itself.
Man is a child of nature, and life follows the way of nature. Human beings must live in the embrace of nature, no matter how the times change, spring and autumn, and having children will always be the basic core of life. You come out of the hustle and bustle of the workplace, walk down the street, watch the clouds and the shadows of the trees in the sky, come home, sit down to have dinner with your wife and children, and then you become a life again.
In human life, there are some things that are dispensable, there may be color, there is no loss of essence, and there are some things that are indispensable, and if they are missing, they will no longer be life. Nothing is indispensable, no one counts, and nature, which gives birth to human beings, is the only authority.
Nature stipulates that life is inseparable from sunlight and land, and that human beings must cultivate and reproduce. The most basic contents of life are the most ordinary, but it is they that constitute the eternal core of human life.
Generations alternate, life multiplies, and the basic core of human life is originally ordinary. War, politics, culture, wealth, all the extraordinary, in the end, must return to the ordinary, and its value must be determined according to the merits and demerits of the ordinary life of mankind.
Even in the lives of great men, it is not the great achievements that move us the most, but the moments in ordinary life that reveal the true humanity of all of us.
Unfortunately, in today's world, people are anxious to pursue seemingly extraordinary things, and there are very few people who know how to cherish and savor ordinary life. Everything extraordinary in the world must eventually return to the ordinary, and its value must be measured by ordinary life.
Greatness, wonderful, and success are nothing, and life is complete only when the ordinary life is truly good.
In the world, sometimes it is inevitable to ask for things and do things against one's will. But one can reduce these to a minimum as long as one is willing to restrain one's greed and be content to live a simpler life. Away from these troublesome interactions and successes, it is really not a loss, but a huge benefit. We get a good mood and a good time, and we can dedicate it to the people we really like, to the things we are really interested in, and above all, to ourselves.
For a person who is content to live a simple life, the boundaries of life are much broader. Who did we come to earth with a name? And who comes with titles, positions, statuses, possessions, etc.? However, as we grow up and become more and more deeply immersed in mundane trivialities, few of us can remember this simplest fact. We meet each other by names, which in turn are associated with titles, statuses, possessions, and so on, and as a result, life itself is hidden and even shrunk under the entanglement of these parasites. Whether for oneself or for others, the sense of life is becoming more and more paralyzed.
Most of the time, we just live as a title. Even if it is a partner who gets along day and night, it is rare to treat each other as it is in the natural state of life, and it is more of a habit and habit.
In the vast universe, perhaps only our planet has blossomed with the flowers of life, but on this lucky planet, there are many exchanges of interests, contests of identity, and competition for property, and the rarest is the encounter between life and life. Think about it carefully, how we put the cart before the horse, and because of the small loss, the big one, and the favor of creation.
From the point of view of life, there are two drawbacks in modern life:
On the one hand, civilization has created for us more and more material conditions that go far beyond what is necessary to sustain life, and that excess certainly provides enjoyment, but at the same time it also complicates our way of life, moving further and further away from the original state of life in nature.
On the other hand, the abundant material conditions also make it easy for us to indulge in comfort, lose the courage and strength to face great dangers, and become mentally mediocre. Our lives are far from the limits of the two directions, and we do not have the endurance to endure lack downwards, and we do not have the explosive power to challenge danger upwards, and we are hiding in the middle ground of comfort and safety, and our feelings are becoming numb day by day.
In the hustle and bustle of the city, the voice of life has been obscured for a long time, and no one pays attention to it. Let's all be quiet, and each of us listens to the inside of our bodies and minds, to hear what our lives are saying, and to think about what our lives need.
What life needs is nothing more than air, sunlight, health, nutrition, and reproduction. But, O proud man, put aside your vanity and ambition, and you will know that these simplest pleasures are the most mellow.
A one-time life is the most precious treasure of life, but many people prefer to exchange it for those less precious or less valuable treasures, spending their entire lives on the accumulation of knowledge, fame, power, or money. When they die, they lament, "I only used my life, but I didn't enjoy it!" ”
Life fears monotony more than death, and that alone is enough to guarantee its invincibility. It must enrich itself in order to escape monotony, and does not care if the ending is in vain. Life passes peacefully, without sound, without waves, not even ripples, without sound.
Whether there is a desire for love or not, whether or not we can feel the joy of life, in the final analysis, is a question of inner vitality. It is the only way to go ethereal. There is no **, only empty and ineffective.
2. Suffer in a dignified way
Suffering refers to events and circumstances that cause great suffering.
It includes natural and man-made disasters that individuals cannot resist, such as encountering troubled times or famines, suffering from life-threatening serious illnesses or even terminal illnesses, and the death of loved ones.
It also includes major setbacks in an individual's social life, such as falling out of love, marital breakdown, career failure.
Even if some people are lucky enough to suffer both, they will not be able to avoid the suffering that all people will have to endure sooner or later—death.
Therefore, how to face suffering is a major life issue in front of everyone.
Suffering is often seen as something that is purely negative in life and should be completely denied.
Of course, suffering is different from active adventure, which has the thrill of a challenge, and we are always forced to endure it.
But is suffering, which is the negative side of life, also completely negative in its meaning in life?
Suffering and happiness are opposites, but they have one thing in common, that is, they are both directly related to the soul and both involve the evaluation of the meaning of life.
Normally, our soul is asleep and wakes up when we feel happy or suffering.
If happiness is the great pleasure of the soul, and this pleasure comes from a strong feeling of the beautiful meaning of life, then the reason why suffering is suffering is that it shakes the foundation of life, blows people's confidence in the meaning of life, and thus plunges the soul into great suffering.
The meaning of life is only the object of the soul, and whether it is affirmed, doubted, or denied, as long as it is true, it must be the soul that appears.
No matter how tragic an external event is, if it does not shock the soul and does not become a spiritual event, it cannot be called suffering.
Something that can awaken the soul into a state of tension that is painful but full of vitality must have some spiritual value.
Most of the time, we live in the outside world. We are so busy with trivial daily life, busy with work, socializing and playing, that we rarely have time to think about ourselves and life. However, when we were doomed, our busy bodies stopped.
Doom interrupts the life we are accustomed to, while also providing an opportunity to force us to distance ourselves from the outside world and return to ourselves.
As long as we are good at taking advantage of this opportunity and willing to think, we will gain a new perspective on life.
Ancient Roman philosophers believed that adversity enlightened wisdom, and Buddhism saw the understanding of suffering as the starting point of enlightenment.
The inherent tragedy of life is superficial to turn a blind eye to it. Of course, we must be careful not to see through the red dust because of this. A person who has gone through ups and downs but still loves life must have many treasures in his chest that have been extracted from pain.
Suffering not only raises our awareness, but also our personality. Suffering is the litmus test of personality, and the attitude towards suffering is the best indication of whether a person has inner dignity.
For example, as long as the lovelorn truly loves the person who abandoned him, it is impossible for him not to feel great pain.
However, the same is a broken love, some people give up on themselves and languish because of this, some people turn against themselves, and even take revenge, and some people suffer silently with self-esteem and respect for other people's feelings, among which there is a huge difference in personality.
Of course, each person's personality is not static, and his attitude towards pain itself forges his personality.
Whatever the suffering, as long as he is always aware of his freedom to adopt an attitude and encourages himself to endure it with a stoic and noble attitude, he is more effective than ever in raising his personality.
All suffering is irreparable. In most cases, however, it simply refers to the irretrievable loss of some important value, and at the same time there are other values in life that inspire the suffering to endure the immediate suffering.
For example, even if a lovelorn person is completely disappointed in love, he will still live for the sake of his career or for the love of his loved ones.
There is a kind of suffering in the world that is not only irreparable in itself, but also means the destruction of all other values, so that it is impossible to draw the courage to bear it from other sources.
If there is still meaning in enduring suffering in such a desperate situation, then the meaning lies almost exclusively in the way of enduring suffering.
In fact, each of us will eventually face a suffering that has no future, and that is death, and to bear death in a dignified way is indeed the last great achievement of our spiritual life.
3. Exchange hope for ideas and understanding
Generally speaking, one of the most common follies people do is to be overly prepared for the rainy day in life, no matter how that preparation is carried out.
Detailed planning for the future must first be guaranteed in terms of longevity, but only a few people will live to old age.
Even if a person could enjoy a longer lifespan, it would still be too short compared to the plans that were made, as it would always take more time than expected to implement them.
In addition, these plans, like everything else, have too many opportunities for blockages and failures, and very few actually succeed.
In the end, even though we achieve all of our goals, we neglect to consider the changes that time brings to us.
It didn't occur to us that it was impossible for us to always be able to create and enjoy throughout our lives.
Therefore, it often happens that we bury our heads in our work, and by the time we achieve our goals, the results we have achieved are no longer suitable for our needs; Or, as we grow up, we prepare for a certain job, but these preparations consume our energy so much that we end up with no more work that we planned.
So, after years of hard work and many risks, we finally gained wealth, but by this time, we no longer have the ability to enjoy it. We're actually working hard for others.
Or, after years of hard work, we finally climbed to a certain position, but we are no longer qualified for the job.
Things like this are not uncommon. This is because the results we are pursuing have come too late. Or, on the contrary, we are too late to get things done, that is, the tastes of the times have changed in terms of what we have achieved or contributed.
A new generation of people has grown up, and they are not interested in what we have accomplished; Others took shortcuts and got ahead of us, and so on.
Why consume your soul?
It is far from being able to cope with the eternal plan you have set.
What induces us to commit this recurrent mistake is the inevitable delusion of our mental eye.
Because of this illusion, life seems endless when viewed from the beginning of life, but when people come to the end of their life journey and look back at life, life seems quite short.
Of course, this delusion also has its benefits: because if people don't have it, great things are hard to come about.
In life, we encounter situations similar to those in which the traveler approaches and sees a sight that is not shaped from what he sees from a distance; It is as if the scenery changes shape as the traveler approaches. Our aspirations are particularly similar to this situation.
Often, what we end up with is not what we were looking for – what we end up with is even better than what we were after.
Also, when we first started out we chose one path to pursue something and found nothing, but found it in another.
Moreover, it often happens that we seek pleasure, good fortune, and joy, only to end up with lessons, thoughts, and realizations—real, eternal benefits that replace the hasty, superficial benefits.
Noble and distinguished people will soon grasp the teachings of fate, be able to go with it and be grateful. They will understand that all we can get in this world is teaching, not happiness.
As a result, they are accustomed and content to exchange hope for ideas and knowledge.
Even, when they follow desires and desires to some extent, at their mercy, it is only a superficial and banter.
In fact, deep down, they are just looking forward to receiving ideological teachings. This gives them a certain contemplative, genius and noble temperament.
Fourth, harvest inner peace.
1.Keep quiet.
Lao Tzu advocates "keeping quiet", allowing all things in the world to move together, and I just watch them go back and forth, so that I can become the master of the movement of all things. This is called "Jing Wei Ji Jun".
Of course, people can't just be still, and even if they can, it's not advisable, like a pool of stagnant water. Your body can run around the world, your mood can fluctuate in the red dust, the key is that you must have a quiet core in your spirit. With this core, you'll be able to become the master of your rushing body and ups and downs.
2.Pro-nature.
The healthy growth of the spirit is inseparable from the land and the sky, the land contributes the best and the material, and the sky indicates the goal and form.
Comparatively, land should come first. Man comes from the soil and returns to the soil, which is actually the crop of the land. The land is home, and the sky is just a distant landscape.
It is even believed that the contemplation of philosophers throughout the ages, the so-called metaphysical concerns, can only be solved in the return to the earth, in a sense of intimacy in the oneness of all things.
A plant must take root in the soil in order to grow healthily. The same is true for people, but they are not as obvious as plants in appearance, so they are easy to overlook.
Away from the land will come at a terrible cost, and if this insensitivity to nature continues, it will inevitably lead to spiritual degradation.
The new generation that grew up in front of the television certainly couldn't read Homer and Shakespeare. What is so strange that people no longer appreciate the creation of gods and demigods?
3.Simple. If we think about it carefully, we will find that man's physical needs have limits determined by their physiological structure, and therefore the pleasure of a purely carnal nature obtained by the satisfaction of this need is almost unchanged for eternity, and is nothing more than food, color, clothing, and health.
King Yin "uses wine as a pool and hanging meat as a forest", but he himself only has an ordinary stomach. Qin Shi Huang built the Afang Palace, "500 steps from east to west, 50 zhang from north to south", but he himself was only five feet long. What a hot gourmet, there must be a break in the pleasure of his feasting, otherwise he will suffer from indigestion. No matter how diligent a disciple is, his bedside pleasure must also be tempered, otherwise he will have kidney deficiency.
Every physical desire is satisfied, and strictly follows the law of inadequacy. The delicacies of the mountains and the sea, the squandering of money is like earth, and it is more about arrogance. Tibetan concubines, beautiful women like clouds, more are vanity. The greatest happiness brought by Wanguan's wealth is not the direct material enjoyment, but the joy of Scrooge when he counts his property, and the joy of a ruined son when he squanders his wealth.
All these things are beyond the scope of physical satisfaction, but to call them spiritual pleasures is to be numb, and they are at most a kind of psychological satisfaction.
Luxury not only does not improve the quality of life, but often reduces the quality of life, making people indulge in material pleasures and stay away from spiritual life.
This does not happen only in those who are of excellent spiritual quality, and this is only because they do not really care about material comforts, and always value spiritual life more preciously.
The fact that a person is happy to live a simple life after being greatly rich proves the nobility of the soul and the ability to derive greater happiness from the spiritual life.
4.Gain and loss. We always think that what we have already received is our own, and once we lose it, we feel that we have suffered a loss.
In fact, everything changes, and nothing can be truly possessed. Got — cut the person, and when he died, he gave everything over.
It is better to continue to gain and lose in life, get used to it, and maybe face death more calmly.
On the other hand, for a receptive mind, nothing is truly lost.
All outward deficiencies or losses, including reputation, status, property, etc., should not cause suffering in substance, as long as they do not affect basic survival.
If it hurts, it's just because you care, and the more you care, the more painful it becomes. As long as you don't care, you can't hurt a single hair.
5.Ordinary heart.
When people are young, they set themselves many goals and assign many tasks, and joining the WTO is a basic tendency. After middle age, you should have a little bit of a birth mentality.
The so-called birth is not purely negative, but a distance from the affairs and utilitarianism of the world, and live a more free and easy life.
A person's strength may not be manifested in climbing on the mountain of fame and fortune, but a person with real strength can still control the direction of his life, withdraw from the competition in a timely manner, save time to do what he likes to do, and enjoy the fun of life.
6.Self-sufficiency and self-love.
People must have the independence of their personality.
It is true that you cannot live in isolation from society and others, but you cannot blindly cling to social buildings and others.
You have to root yourself in the soil of life. You have to cast your anchor in the sea of life.
If a person only attaches himself to things outside his body, even if it is extremely beautiful, he may not be able to see his inner emptiness and lack of foundation when things are going well, and once there are storms, such as social turmoil, career setbacks, death of relatives, loss of love, etc., he will collapse and even have a mental breakdown.
Being a cold bystander and critic of ourselves is a kind of cultivation that keeps us awake and avoids falling into the ridiculous and pathetic situation of pretentiousness or self-pity.
7.Learn to deal with yourself.
From a psychological point of view, the need for solitude is for inner integration.
Integration is the process of putting new experiences in a proper place in your inner memory.
It is only through this process of integration that the external impression can be digested by the self, and the self can become a system that is both independent and growing.
Therefore, whether or not a person has the ability to be alone is related to whether a person can truly form a relatively self-sufficient inner world, which in turn affects his relationship with the outside world.
8.Worry about the future.
Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have its own anxieties; One day's difficulties are enough, and one day's responsibility is enough.
We like to say: people have no long-term concerns, but they must have near-term worries. That's certainly true. However, there is no end to foresight and must be done in moderation.
There are some foresight and foresight, and you may wish to plan in advance to relieve your near-term worries.
There are some foresights, which can be foreseen but cannot be planned in advance, so put it aside for the time being, the car has its own road in front of the mountain, why let it become a near-term worry in advance.
There are also some foresights, which are completely unforeseeable, so you don't always have to torture yourself with an inexplicable worry.
In short, you should try to put aside your worries as little as possible and maintain a relaxed and bright state of mind.
Take responsibility for the difficulties of the day every day, so that you will not only be more relaxed, but also easier to solve the difficulties.
If you carry the difficulties of today, tomorrow, and many days to come, you will not only be heavy, but you may not be able to solve even one of them.
9.Wisdom. A healthy mind comes from a wise mind.
Modern people are susceptible to mental illness, and most of the root causes of the disease are not able to understand the fundamental truth of life, so they can't see the small things in life. If you figure it out, how can you not see it?
In life, being able to stand right and jump out is a very high state.
In a certain sense, jumping out is the premise of standing upright, and only by looking down on the ups and downs can we be upright regardless of the gains and losses.
If standing is the morality of being a man, then jumping out is the wisdom of life.
Why did man fall?
It is often because I am trapped in a narrow corner of the world, my heart is unknown, my eyes are not bright, and I can't resist the ** that is close in front of me.
Buddhism says that "ignorance" is the root of sin, and ** teaches that fallen people live in darkness, and this is what it says.
On the contrary, if a person often jumps out to look at the panorama of life and truly sees the size and value of things, he is less likely to stumble over those small things and secondary values.
