On a busy street in the center of Jinan, I, Zhao Qiang, run a small convenience store. This shop is more than just a livelihood for me, it's more like a part of my life. In the past, cigarette sales have been a significant part of the store's revenue. Recently, however, we have encountered a thorny problem: there is not enough cheap cigarettes, and higher cigarettes are difficult to sell because of the problem. Although I have a tobacco sales certificate, it doesn't seem to be very useful in the current market conditions.
At first, I thought it was just a temporary chain problem, and I contacted the company around hoping to find a suitable solution. But over time, I realized that the problem was much more complicated than I had imagined. I started asking around for advice and even shared my predicament with other shopkeepers at an industry gathering. We all have similar problems, but no one seems to be able to find a fundamental solution.
This question got me thinking deeply. I have come to realize that this is not only a problem of the first chain, but also a challenge for the entire tobacco industry. With the improvement of people's health awareness and the strict regulation of the tobacco industry by the state, the traditional tobacco market is suffering unprecedented challenges. I started asking myself, as a small business, how do I respond to such market changes?
After many nights of thinking, I had some ideas. I believe that the future tobacco market needs more innovation and diversified business strategies. To this end, I began to try to introduce more non-tobacco products, such as health drinks, snacks, etc., in the hope of attracting customers with different needs. At the same time, I also promote some healthy lifestyle products in the store in an attempt to change customers' spending habits.
This transformation is not easy, but I believe that only by constantly innovating and trying can we find room to survive in this change. More importantly, this transformation is not only in line with the development trend of the market, but also in line with the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle in society.
I also have some suggestions for customers. I hope that people will pay more attention to their health when buying tobacco products. At the same time, I encourage you to support small businesses that are working to transform, focus on health and innovation. The choices made by each of us will have an impact on the market and jointly promote a healthier and more sustainable society.
I learned a lot along the way. I have learned that in the face of changes in the industry and market, it is very important to think flexibly and be innovative. It's not just a challenge for me personally, it's a test for the industry as a whole. We need to constantly adapt to change and find new ways to survive.
I hope that my experience can shed some light on my peers. In these times of rapid change, we cannot simply rely on the successful models of the past. We need to keep exploring and trying, have the courage to face challenges, and find a development path that suits us.
What are your thoughts on this? Have you encountered similar challenges? Or are there any innovative ideas and suggestions? I'm very much looking forward to hearing from you. Together, we can find solutions and create a better future.
Through this experience, I am even more convinced that only by constantly learning and adapting can we find our place in the midst of change. Let's meet the challenges together, explore more possibilities, and create a better future for ourselves and this society.
