In recent years, parents have been paying more and more attention to their children's growth, and the relationship between home and school has become increasingly close. Parents are always eager to solve their child's problems at school as quickly as possible, but sometimes over-involvement can backfire.
Friction is inevitable at school, which makes parents anxious. However, from the perspective of front-line language teachers, how to deal with these issues is a technical task.
First of all, we have to trust the teacher's ability to deal with it. Being overly involved only complicates the problem because we can't fully understand the whole picture. As a first-hand witness, the teacher is more able to treat problems with kindness.
Secondly, we need to let the children learn to solve problems on their own. Parental involvement should be to give advice, not to replace the child to solve the problem. Letting children deal with problems on their own is part of their development.
Finally, when dealing with conflicts, sometimes it is better to be "negative". Rushing to reconcile may only be a palliative measure, and giving children the time and space to think calmly will lead to better solutions.
Of course, there are exceptions, and if the teacher asks the parent to come to school to solve the problem, then it will be necessary to actively cooperate. But even then, communication is key, not simply orders or demands.
These principles are essential for dealing with school conflicts, not only for the growth of children, but also for the healthy development of home-school relationships. Let's work together to create an environment where children can grow up in a healthy way!
