This is the 10th year of my teaching career, and taking a new course, Architectural Design, is undoubtedly a challenge for me. Because my academic background is mainly related to art, the architectural theories I have learned are mainly from the history of world design, especially when preparing for the graduate examination and doctoral entrance examination (I highly recommend Mr. Wang Shouzhi's course**), and there are only a handful of projects involved in architectural design.

Today, a brief statement of the European classical architectural style is also welcome to pass with many architecture and art lovers. Personally, I am extremely interested in the history of design, so let's talk about ancient Greek architecture, and in the following articles, I will talk about ancient Roman, Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo architecture, as well as modern architectural design styles and postmodern architectural styles.

Ancient Greek architectural style, the most architectural features of the ancient Greek architectural style are the triangular gable, three types of columns, three types of Doric, Ionian, Corinthian columns and columnar enclosures.

Focus on introducing the three types of columns, especially for students who are going to graduate school to understand the three types of columns and characteristics, I found a very interesting ** on the Internet.

The Doric column style can be understood as the male column style, with a thick column body, no column base and column head, majestic and magnificent characteristics; The Ionian developed on the basis of the Doric column, which became slender and grooved, with a swirling shape at the capital; The Corinthian column was developed on the basis of the Ionian column, and the most important feature is that the stigma has a shape similar to that of a flower basket. As shown in the picture above.
