In a magnificent battle in 1979 and another expedition in 1984, in order to regain the lost territory, the Chinese soldiers marched forward bravely, even in the face of life and death, they did not flinch.

In the mountainous areas controlled by the Vietnamese army, they carried out concentrated operations and resisted the enemy's attack with flesh and blood. The martyrs who sacrificed are not just cold numbers, they are flesh and blood, one of the martyrs named Liangling died heroically in the Battle of Laoshan, and his last poem before his sacrifice is moving.

They defended the dignity of the motherland with their lives and are our eternal heroes.

The heroes of Liangling not only have the courage to fight, they also have their own dreams and pursuits. However, there are martyrs who have given their lives on the battlefield and have not been able to fulfill their passions.

Unlike many ordinary fighters, Liang Ling was born into a family of cadres, which had a profound impact on him. He has shown great effort and enthusiasm in his studies, and his hero idols include Qiu Shaoyun, Dong Cunrui, and Huang Jiguang.

Liang Ling is a young hero in Wuyang County, Anhui Province, and his figure can be seen everywhere in small places. He always tried his best to help the people around him, especially after joining the Chinese Young Pioneers, and his actions won high praise from the locals.

A local lady recalled the first time she met Liang Ling, and she deeply felt that Liang Ling had great ambitions in his heart: in order to grow better, he decided to join the army. In 1980, Liang Ling realized his dream and successfully enlisted in the army, becoming a heroic soldier.

Liang Ling was convinced that the future war would be dominated by science and technology, so he never relaxed in his study of cultural classes. Although the company stipulated that the lights should be turned off at 9 p.m., he still insisted on reading under the covers with paper to block the light of the flashlight to ensure that it would not disturb others.

His thirst for knowledge touched all his comrades-in-arms and made the whole class develop the habit of being studious. In addition to studying, Liang Ling also performed very well in physical training, which made many comrades-in-arms feel as if he was born for the army.

The interests of the country are above all else, and the love of children must be put aside. For the sake of the peace of the country, I am willing to give up my small family and take care of everyone. "

He is Liang Ling, from the Fourth Company of Steel. In this team that experienced the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, he was like a tiger and made countless brilliant achievements.

His teammates are heroes, and he is no exception. However, when he is about to go to war, he worries that his girlfriend will lose him. Just as the troops were heading to the front line in Laoshan, Yunnan, he suddenly developed acute appendicitis and had to be operated on immediately.

Soon after the operation, he learned that the company was going to change guards, and he was worried about missing the battle, so he repeatedly asked the hospital to be discharged, but the hospital refused his request on the grounds that he was not healed.

So, he wrote this poem, expressing his love for the battlefield and his determination to hold his ground. "It's because here, I can't hear the roar of the machine guns, let me go, the position needs me to hold on. ”

Liang Ling's heart was full of pride and ambition, and he firmly believed that the country had cultivated him for many years, just to stand up and defend the country at a critical moment. He could not tolerate spending the rest of his life in the hospital, which was a sign of irresponsibility to the country.

The Lao Son they are about to go to is geographically important, an important commanding height on the Sino-Vietnamese border, and can control the passage of Ha Giang province. Whoever controls the Lao Son area can cut off the important communication line from Van Son Prefecture to Ha Giang Province to the east, observe the important area of China for more than 20 kilometers to the north, and overlook the Lao Zhai and Thanh Thanh areas of Vietnam to the south.

Geographically, the Lao Son area is an important transportation artery to Vietnam.

The Battle of Laoshan did not start in 1985. As early as April 28, 1984, our army had recovered the main peak of Laoshan, Songmaoling and the Laoshan area.

Then, taking advantage of the situation, our side recovered the Zheyin Mountain and the Bali River Dongshan area. Although Vietnam was beaten and wept bitterly a few years ago, it still did not want to "give up" Lao Son to Lao Son.

They fought back several times, but did not make substantial progress. Therefore, in the second half of 1984, a meeting was held in Beiguang County, which mainly discussed how to recapture the lost positions.

This meeting laid the groundwork for the next war: the Vietnamese army would use more than one division to continue the offensive in the direction of Lao Son, Song Mao Ling, and Dong Shan of the Bali River.

Since the beginning of the round war, the troops of the seven major military regions of the country have come to the front line to fight the enemy many times, and this was formulated according to the specific situation in Southeast Asia and the Sino-Vietnamese border, and our objectives at that time were also very clear.

This includes Liang Ling's troops.

On the front line of Laoshan, Songmaoling is the most cutting-edge position. After Liang Ling returned to the team, he has been sticking to this frontline position. Since the Vietnamese army's counterattack was irregular, everyone always maintained a high degree of vigilance.

Although this is our battlefield, the environment is extremely difficult. The humid climate of the jungle and frequent rainfall meant that the soldiers' clothes and bedding were always wet.

To make matters worse, the area is full of flying insects, and the fighters are often bitten by mosquitoes and their wounds are prone to inflammation. At this time, Liang Ling had been promoted to platoon commander. Seeing that his surgical wound was inflamed, the fighters immediately advised him: "Platoon commander, here we are, you don't have to worry." ”

Liangling has always been on the front line, although it is difficult to obtain even a mouthful of fresh water from the frontline position, relying on the support of the rear, and sometimes the place will start to blockade the artillery, so that everyone can only starve, and when thirsty, they can only gently moisten their lips.

However, Liang Ling's concern for the fighters did not diminish because of this, and he resolutely did not let the soldiers skip the level to report their situation. Liang Ling's attitude was very serious, he said: "The health of the soldiers is the most important thing, and I will do my best to protect everyone." ”

In the face of the grim situation, Liang Ling was undaunted, resolutely carried out the order, led the soldiers to move forward bravely, and successfully repelled nearly a hundred Vietnamese soldiers. He was highly praised by his superiors for his outstanding performance, was awarded a third-class meritorious service, and was promoted to deputy company commander during the battle.

From a national point of view, the Battle of Laoshan was a battle to support the countries of the Indochina Peninsula in opposing hegemonism and maintaining peace and stability on China's borders, which fundamentally conformed to the interests of the Chinese people.

Moreover, in 1979 we had already taught Vietnam a stern lesson, so we did not invest too much manpower and material resources in this war, but only engaged in small-scale firefights.

However, the Vietnamese had great expectations for this battle, and they wanted to gain the initiative in the Battle of Lao Son and organize a large-scale counterattack as a way to demonstrate their strength.

However, due to years of war and the Battle of Lao Son, Vietnam was on the verge of collapse, and they also showed an attitude of "losing more and more courageously", so that they could not get any international support.

In the face of difficulties and challenges, the soldiers of Liang Ling's platoon showed incomparable courage and determination. They are not afraid of difficulties and hard work, always stick to their positions, and do their best to protect the security of the country and the people.

Liang Ling even set an example, regardless of his personal safety, and took the initiative to stay on the position to guide the newly raised Seventh Company, helping them quickly familiarize themselves with the situation ahead and formulating a scientific tactical layout.

Although a new round of fighting had begun, Liang Ling still stuck to the front line, carefully reconnoitered the enemy's situation, and made full preparations for the subsequent battle. Their spirit is touching and worthy of our learning and respect.

After reconnaissance, Liang Ling was surprised to find that the two positions had been occupied by the enemy. He immediately ordered the seventh company to carry out artillery cover, successfully repelled the enemy attack and recaptured the lost ground.

Liang Ling was awarded a second-class meritorious service, and his team was also awarded a first-class meritorious service. By September, the two sides had been engaged in a long battle in the Laoshan area, and the troops had always adhered to the attitude of quick victory.

After Liang Ling heard the news that soldiers were needed on the front line, he immediately took the initiative to ask for battle, hoping to go to the front line to participate in the battle. After months of adaptation and training, the fighters have become familiar with the terrain and mountain trails, and what awaits them is such an opportunity.

It was only when our artillery fire rained down on the enemy's positions that they realized that the situation was not good. At this time, Liang Ling stood up and said to everyone: "Comrades-in-arms, the time has come to test us, let us rush together!" ”

Under enemy fire, the soldiers of the whole company advanced at an astonishing speed, occupying the high ground in only five minutes, and completely crushing the Vietnamese army. Although the battlefield was ruthless, Liang Ling was extremely brave in the battle.

After he was shot in the leg, despite the pain, he insisted that the hygienist pull out the shrapnel. Although treating the wound in this way would cause infection, Liang Ling insisted on himself and pulled out the shrapnel with his hands, and the hygienist immediately stepped forward to help him bandage the wound and persuade him to leave the battlefield.

Liang Ling's heroic deeds are admirable.

Liang Ling was slightly injured and could not get out of the line of fire, and decided to continue fighting. His resolute eyes and heroic actions inspired the fighting spirit of the soldiers, and their morale was high, and they shouted "Rush!" ”

Although the enemy desperately resisted, our soldiers pursued closely, and even took down seven enemy defense points, only one of which was extremely tenacious, and our troops failed to make four explosions, and the situation was very serious.

After receiving the order from his superiors, Liang Ling said that he would complete the task, regardless of his leg injury, patted his chest, and personally led a platoon leader to reconnoiter the enemy outpost, preparing to blow up this difficulty.

Liang Ling and his comrades were unfortunately attacked by artillery shells after eliminating the enemy at the sentry post. Liang Ling was instantly wet with blood, and the soldiers around him were also unfortunately killed. But he did not give up, and still insisted on crawling to his comrades' side and bandaging their wounds with the only two first-aid kits.

However, at this moment, Liang Ling was attacked by a barrage of bullets, and he was hit by a vital point, and finally fell in a pool of blood.

The hero took the lead, fought fiercely against the Vietnamese army, and in the face of more than 20 counterattacks, he did not flinch and led the soldiers to smash in one fell swoop. His heroic feat touched everyone, but after the battle, the hero was carried down the mountain, covered with blood and wounded in dozens of places.

His comrades-in-arms were heartbroken, but in his lost notebook, they found one of his gorgeous poems: "Flat and rugged, all repay me." The joyful river is a symbol of my perseverance; The mountains and mountains are the background of my far-reaching thinking; Happiness and unhappiness are all rewarded to me.

The swallows soaring in the sky are a portrayal of my freedom; The strength of the wind and the sun is my indomitable persistence. How lonely a world without laughter is, but it doesn't change my love for life.

I smiled and walked towards the fiery life. This posthumous poem not only shows the pride and ambition of a heroic soldier, but also expresses his love and persistent pursuit of life, even in the face of difficulties and setbacks, he always maintains a smile and optimism.

Even though he is a Predator, it's hard to imagine that he also has a soft heart inside. His heroic deeds were widely disseminated throughout the country, and the campaign not only enabled our country to regain its inherent territory, but also enhanced the capabilities of our troops in the major military districts.

The attitude of the Vietnamese side also gradually softened after the resounding victory of the war.
