Wang Dingguo's reputation is far less than that of her husband Xie Jueya, but her deeds are full of legends, and her life is a life full of hardships and struggles. Wang Dingguo, a native of Yingshan, Sichuan, was born into a poor peasant family, and her sister was starved to death.
Since the age of six or seven, Wang Dingguo has been grinding noodles for a noodle restaurant, every day from dark to dawn, in order to support himself, after his father died of illness, 15-year-old Wang Dingguo was sent to a family surnamed Li as a child daughter-in-law, has been a chance to change her life.
Yang Keming and other underground party members went to Yingshan to mobilize the masses, Wang Dingguo's uncle lent his home to underground party members for meetings, and later her uncle's home became a secret contact point.
Later, with the help of underground party members, everyone gathered more than 40 silver dollars to the Li family where Wang Dingguo was located, thus dissolving the relationship between child daughter-in-law and restoring Wang Dingguo's freedom.
In October 1933, Xu Shiyou took the Red 9th Army to liberate Yingshan, Wang Dingguo actively signed up for the Red Army, she also mobilized more than 400 women to join the Red Army, Wang Dingguo was appointed as the commander of the women's independent battalion, and later the Red Fourth Front Army Troupe lacked people, Wang Dingguo was transferred to work in the troupe.
At that time, the troupe followed the main Long March, and encountered all kinds of hardships along the way, because there were too many enemies, and several female comrades of their troupe also participated in battles, but the most difficult thing was when crossing the grassland and climbing the snowy mountains, many soldiers died on the grasslands and snowy mountains.
Mainly because the Red Army was short of materials at that time, and after finally arriving in northern Shaanxi, the soldiers of the Four Front Army were ordered to march westward, and Wang Dingguo's troupe also followed.
On December 5, 1936, Wang Dingguo's troupe also encountered Ma Jiajun, they fought with the enemy for a day, and were not captured by the enemy until they were killed, Wang Dingguo thought that he would be sacrificed, but he didn't expect Ma Jiajun to keep their troupe to perform for Ma Jiajun.
Wang Dingguo and others were detained by Ma Jiajun for more than a year, until after the cooperation of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, Lanzhou established the Eighth Route Army Office, and under the arrangement of the organization, the office was rescued many times, Wang Dingguo and others were rescued, and Xie Jueya was working in the office at that time.
Wang Dingguo and others who were rescued told Xie Jueya about their experience, Wang Dingguo's firm revolutionary spirit greatly moved Xie Jueya, and in the later work, Xie Jueya cared more about Wang Dingguo, which made her feel a lot of warmth, and Wang Dingguo married Xie Jueya under the mediation of comrades.
Since then, Wang Dingguo has become Xie Jueya's assistant, all the way from Lanzhou to Beijing, the two have been together for 34 years, Wang Dingguo has also learned a lot of knowledge by Xie Jueya's side, she has done a good job, and Xie Jueya and several children have also taken good care of her.
On June 15, 1971, Xie Juezai died of illness at the age of 87, after Xie Juezai's death, Wang Dingguo took the initiative to vacate the big yard where he lived, and said that he lived in what kind of house he lived in, and he could not be special, and Wang Dingguo often used this to educate his children.
Wang Dingguo and her husband Xie Jueya have raised 7 children, several of whom have successful careers, among which the most famous is the second son Xie Fei, who is a famous director and has won many awards at home and abroad. Wang Dingguo died on June 9, 2020, at the age of 108.
