"Every year, the national notary institutions handle inheritance notarization cases and the national courts hear as many as 1.8 million inheritance dispute cases, inheritance issues have become a social issue that the people are concerned about, and people's demand for estate management is becoming more and more urgent. Li Xuemei, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and deputy editor-in-chief of Beijing ** Press, called for the recognition of "heritage manager" as a new profession as soon as possible to help standardize the management of heritage services.
The Civil Code of the People's Republic of China establishes the system of estate administrators, clarifies the legal status of estate administrators, and stipulates that estate administrators may receive remuneration in accordance with the provisions of the law or in accordance with the agreement. This has prompted a large number of individuals and organizations to flock to the 'blue ocean' of estate management, making the estate management industry a new bright spot in the silver economy. Li Xuemei said that estate administrators help families properly handle inheritance affairs, mediate inheritance disputes, and promote reconciliation between family members, which is conducive to stabilizing social order.
Li Xuemei's research found that, according to incomplete statistics, the number of people engaged in heritage management in the country has reached 240,000, but due to the lack of necessary industry guidance and norms, there is a lot of chaos in the heritage management market.
The protection of family property has become a rigid need of the majority of families, and it is also a bright spot in the silver economy. Li Xuemei suggested that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and other departments should include "estate manager" as a new profession in the occupational classification dictionary as soon as possible to meet the needs of social development. The definition and main tasks of the profession should be clarified, the industry access conditions and professional norms, service processes, quality standards, supervision and evaluation, etc., and the corresponding industry standards and rules and regulations should be formulated through the establishment of industry associations, so as to control the chaos in the industry and standardize the management of heritage services. This not only reduces the costs and expenses in the inheritance process, but also reduces the trouble of the heirs, so that the heirs can obtain the property quickly and conveniently, and at the same time relieve the worries of the elderly. Li Xuemei said.
