Is the new express delivery regulation really beneficial to us?

Recently, the express delivery industry has ushered in a wave of new regulations. These regulations require that the courier must confirm the delivery time to the customer, otherwise the package cannot be placed at the post station or pick-up locker. Sounds reasonable, doesn't it? But in practice, it has caused a lot of controversy.

First, let's look at the courier's perspective. In the past, they could deliver 500 to 800 packages a day, but now, because each package has to be confirmed, their workload has increased dramatically, but their income has decreased. Not only that, but some customers don't answer**, or the address is not written accurately, causing the courier to spend more time looking for someone. As a result, the work of couriers is more stressful and their income is less, so many people choose to change careers.

So, do these new regulations really improve our delivery experience? Perhaps for some, they do prefer home delivery. But in reality, most of us are busy with work, and there may not be anyone at home who sells goods. The existence of post stations and pick-up lockers is to facilitate our pick-up at any time. Now, couriers have to spend a lot of time on communication, which reduces the efficiency of delivery.

What's even more frustrating is that if the courier delivers to the wrong place or delays the delivery time, customers often choose to complain. As a result, the courier will not only face fines, but may also lose their jobs. Such regulations really make the relationship between couriers and customers more strained.

So, how to solve this problem? Actually, it's quite simple. We can set up a home delivery for an additional fee, such as one yuan. In this way, if the customer needs to have it delivered to their door, they will need to pay an additional fee. In this way, the income of the courier will also be guaranteed, and their motivation will be increased. And for us, if we need to deliver to our door, it is also acceptable to pay one yuan.

In general, the original intention of the new express delivery regulations is good, but there are many problems in practice. We need to find a way to protect the rights of our couriers and improve our delivery experience. Perhaps, setting up an additional cost for home delivery is a good option.
