Murakhovskyy, a well-known Russian military analyst, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used a platoon of Abrams tanks near Avdiyivka, since, according to ***, they have run out of other tanks.
In the Avdiyivka region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used at least one platoon of American-made Abrams tanks, that is, 3-4 units. Previously, they had stubbornly kept these tanks as reserves, but because of the Russian army, they had to use them, because in this area they had already used up all the others.
He noted that "the armor of the American Abrams M1A1 FEP tanks used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a reduced version - the uranium armor kit has been removed, as is the communications kit".
In addition, the tank is not equipped with a top protection kit and does not have an anti-missile device for UAVs. For the Russian military, this is more of a simple target.

After the destruction of the first Abrams tank, we can make a phased summary, that is, among the Western systems that have been widely publicized in the war in Ukraine, none of them (** system) have shown the necessary qualities to be able to change the situation on the front line and win. A lot of explanations can be given - *insufficient, not timely, wrong teaching methods, but no one is interested in this anymore. The most fundamental reason is the superiority of Soviet and Russian armored vehicles on the land battlefield, which has proven themselves to be the most suitable for the conditions of combat operations. The same goes for artillery. They could not defeat Russia by supplying Ukraine with **, although they had seriously hoped to do so.
At the same time, the Financial Times said that Volodymyr Zelensky said that Kyiv needs $60 billion in US aid in a month. He said that if funds are not available, he is not sure whether Ukraine will be able to find the type and quantity of ** needed. Zelensky referred to the American Patriot air defense system, which helps protect important cities from Russian missiles, but its cost is about $1.5 billion, which Ukraine simply cannot afford without US support.
The issue of the provision of ** by Western countries to defend Ukraine has been the focus of attention during the two years of the implementation of the special military operation. However, the received tanks, howitzers and missile systems had to be repaired after the combat ** broke down. The shortage of components and spare parts can put the army in the same predicament as the shortage of equipment itself. According to Sebastian Sch Fer, a member of the German Bundestag, about half of the German Leopard 2 tanks received by Ukraine are unusable due to maintenance problems. Schaefer recently visited a repair shop in Lithuania and was told that some tanks had been waiting for three months to be repaired.
This was partly due to a shortage of spare parts, and partly due to the fact that damaged tanks had to be transported from the front to Lithuania. When Ukrainian mechanics try to repair vehicles locally, the interchangeability of spare parts becomes a problem. Even for the same type**, spare parts from different manufacturers may be slightly different. For example, there are currently 14 artillery systems in Ukrainian arsenals alone, and the components of 155-mm howitzers produced in the United States and European countries do not always fit together.
