Minor injuries and minor injuries as provided for in the law and their related regulations

Slight bodily injury refers to the primary injury caused by various injury factors, resulting in slight damage to the structure of tissues and organs or slight dysfunction.

Light minor injury refers to injuries that cause damage to a person's limbs or appearance, partial impairment of hearing, vision or other organ functions, or other injuries that have moderate harm to personal health, including minor injuries of the first degree and minor injuries of the second degree.

Where the perpetrator intentionally injures another person, causing them minor injuries, he is violating the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law"; Where the perpetrator intentionally injures another person, causing them minor injuries, he commits the Criminal Law

Relevant laws and regulations:

Article 43 of the Law on Public Security Administration Punishments:

Those who assault others, or intentionally injure others, are to be detained for between 5 and 10 days and fined between 200 and 500 RMB; where the circumstances are more minor, they are to be detained for up to 5 days or fined up to 500 RMB.

In any of the following circumstances, they are to be detained for between 10 and 15 days and fined between 500 and 1,000 RMB

1) Gang up to beat or injure others;

2) Beating or injuring persons with disabilities, pregnant women, persons under the age of 14, or persons over the age of 60;

3) Repeatedly beating or injuring others, or beating or injuring multiple people at a time.

Article 234 of the Criminal Law:

Whoever intentionally injures the body of another person is to be sentenced to up to three years imprisonment, short-term detention or controlled release.

Whoever commits the crime in the preceding paragraph, causing serious injury, is to be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than ten years; Whoever causes death or seriously injures a person by especially cruel means, causing serious disability, is to be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than 10 years, life imprisonment, or death. Where this Law provides otherwise, follow those provisions.

in providing military and security services, employees may use force or firearms only (a) to defend him/herself or other employees of the company against what he/she believes to be an imminent unlawful threat of death or serious bodily injury, in respect of the exercise of the essential right of selfdefence; (b) to defend persons whom he/she is under a contract to protect against what he/she believes to be an imminent unlawful threat of death or serious bodily injury; (c) to resist what he/she reasonably believes to be an attempt to unlawfully abduct him/her, other employees of the company or a person whom he/she is under contract to protect; (d) to prevent or put a stop to the commission of a serious crime that would involve or involves a gr**e threat to life or of serious bodily injury.

In the provision of military and security services, employees may use force or firearms only if: (a) defending themselves or other employees of the company against an unlawful threat of death or serious injury that they consider imminent and are part of the fundamental right of self-defence; (b) To defend persons under their contractual protection from an unlawful threat of death or serious bodily injury that it considers imminent; (c) Prevent attempts by him that he has reasonable grounds to believe that he or she has unlawful kidnapping himself, other employees of the company or persons under his protection under his contract; (d) To prevent or prevent the commission of an offence which may or has constituted a threat of death or serious injury.
