In the autumn of 1948, although there was still more than a year before the founding of New China, out of consideration for the need for a large number of technical personnel for the construction of a future society, more than 20 students were selected to study in the Soviet Union, so that they could devote themselves to national construction after completing their studies.
Among the more than 20 international students, there was a young man in his early twenties named Zou Jiahua. Although he is still young, he has made certain achievements in his position before studying abroad, and this study abroad trip not only allowed him to master excellent professional knowledge in higher education, but also met his love unexpectedly.
Zou Jiahua was born in the early twenties of the last century, and his father was Mr. Zou Taofen, a famous modern patriotic pioneer. When he was a teenager, because his father traveled to various places to set up publications and spread revolutionary and progressive ideas, he lived a life of exile with his family, and his footprints traveled all over the country. In 1944, after his father's death, inspired by his last wishes, he resolutely joined the revolution and joined the ranks of the New Fourth Army.
In 1945, in order to train cadres and talents in construction, the New Fourth Army opened the Construction University in the base area, and with his outstanding cultural knowledge, Zou Jiahua was selected to study in the school. Soon after, with the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, he began to go to the local work, and was assigned to the Shandong Construction Department as an officer, the main work is to go deep into the rural grassroots, lead the military and civilians to build bridges, roads, and engage in civil engineering. The following year, after the liberation of Northeast China, he was transferred to work in the countryside of Northeast China, and once served as the secretary of the Hadong Prefectural Committee, participating in the local land reform and bandit suppression work.
In 1948, Zou Jiahua, who had already made certain achievements in his job, was selected by the organization to go to the Soviet Union to study. He has been interested in machines since he was a child, and his major is mechanical engineering. During his studies in Suzhou, he and his classmates overcame various obstacles in terms of language and living habits, and achieved excellent results. In addition, he also met his love during that time, met and fell in love with Ye Shuai's eldest daughter Ye Chumei, and married after returning to China.
In 1955, Zou Jiahua returned to China after completing his studies, he took the initiative to apply to go to the grassroots level, and the husband and wife went to work in Shenyang No. 2 Machine Tool Factory together. In the following years, with his excellent professional ability, he gradually grew from an ordinary technician to the chief engineer and factory director. In 1964, he was transferred to Beijing to work as a leader in the research institute of the First Machinery Department, but two years later, with the advent of the special period, he had to leave his job and go to the countryside to work.
After resuming work in 1972, Zou Jiahua first returned to his original unit to work, and was transferred to work a year later, and in the following years, he successively served as the minister of the Ministry of Ordnance, the Minister of Electrical Industry, and the director of the State Planning Commission. During this period, he promoted a number of reform measures in our industry, and achieved excellent results. As a leading cadre with a senior engineer's background, he not only has outstanding technical ability, but also has a pioneering and innovative spirit.
In 1991, Zou Jiahua took the post of vice premier, during his tenure, he often traveled to the grassroots level to conduct research, and provided a series of optimization plans for China's economic development and economic system reform. At the same time, in the nineties of the last century, he also led the project of introducing Huang into Jin, and made important contributions to the development and construction of the local area.
Zou Jiahua inherited the arduous and simple style of the older generation of revolutionary ancestors. He has a friendly personality and is very low-key, and he will always go deep into the people and communicate cordially with the grassroots masses, without any arrogance, so he is deeply loved by the masses, and "a good prime minister who is simple and unpretentious" is the people's cordial and honest evaluation of him.
In 2003, Zou Lao, who had worked hard for the country all his life, left his post that he had worked hard for many years, and since then he has started a low-key retirement life. After retirement, Mr. Zou still cares about the development of the country and often participates in some social welfare activities.
At the same time, although he is old, Zou Lao still has a wide range of interests and hobbies, and is particularly fond of calligraphy, and has reached a high level of attainment. Today, this respected old leader is 98 years old, but the old man is in good spirits and still has the same demeanor, which is really a blessing to the country.
