Photovoltaic power generation process.
Photovoltaic power generation is a green energy source that uses solar energy to convert into electrical energy, and its core principle is the photogenerated volt effect. The following is the basic process of photovoltaic power generation:
1.Solar energy harvesting: Solar panels are installed on the site of a photovoltaic power plant to convert solar radiation into electricity. The panel is exposed to sunlight, and when the light hits the panel, the photons hit the semiconductor material on the panel, causing the electrons to jump from the valence band to the conduction band, resulting in an electric current.
2.DC conversion: The current generated is direct current, which needs to be converted to alternating current by an inverter. An inverter is a device that converts direct current to alternating current, which converts direct current to 50hz or 60hz alternating current for domestic, industrial, or commercial use.
3.AC output: The converted AC power is transmitted to the user end through the transmission line, which can be a home, a factory, a commercial center, etc.
4.Energy storage: In order to cope with night or cloudy conditions, photovoltaic power generation systems are usually equipped with energy storage equipment (such as batteries) to store unused electrical energy during the day and use it at night or on cloudy days.
