Wang Ronghua (February 4, 1917 - May 27, 2008), the wife of one of China's top ten marshals, was born in Haojiaji, Lu'an County, Anhui Province (now Haojiaji, Yu'an District, Lu'an City). He participated in the revolution in 1930, joined the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in May 1931, participated in the 25,000-mile Long March with the main force of the Red Fourth Front Army in the autumn of 1935, and joined the Communist Party of China in December 1936. At 17:20 on May 27, 2008, Wang Ronghua died in Beijing at the age of 92 due to ineffective medical treatment.
