About three quarters of the town of Se Seng in Myanmar has been destroyed by the fighting

People in the town of Se Seng in southern Shan State of Myanmar told that three-quarters of the town had been destroyed due to heavy fighting, and that reconstruction would be difficult.

During the war, due to fighter plane air raids, drone bomb drops, artillery bombing and ground battles, about 80 of the houses and buildings in the town's neighborhoods, Miaoganda, and Minghella neighborhoods were damaged, and then about 50 were damaged in the Angdebe, Angqianda, and Diyi neighborhoods.

The artillery positions set up by the military at the football field in the village of Secao fired an average of at least 10 shells a day to shell the town of Xisheng, and if ground fighting broke out, at least more than 50 shells were fired, and the town had suffered at least nearly 500 shells.

In particular, three-quarters of the Miuma market in Xisheng town has been burned down. 15,000 people fled in six neighborhoods of the town. During the period of escape, the dead died, the wounded, the missing disappeared, and most of them were separated from their families.

Sources said that on February 27, there was no ground fighting in the town of Xisheng, except for the sound of shelling.

Another source said that from February 27 to the morning of February 28, no sound was heard, and fighting may have been going on in other areas, but there was no fighting in Xisheng town.

On the afternoon of January 23, the military forces, the PNLA and the Allies, had been fighting on the side of the PNLA and the Allies for 35 days until February 28.

At present, information on the ground shows that the military Kamaya 423 and 424 battalions at the exit of Xisheng town have been re-stationed, and PNLA is operating on the front line at the foot of Laigobei Mountain and the village of Tiyi, and controls Xisheng town.

Statistics from the Bowo Youth Group show that fighting has killed at least 40 people and injured 51 in the three towns of Xisheng, Hebang and Lailin, and 13 people have died and 25 injured in the town of Xisheng alone. This data is only preliminary statistics, due to poor communication, the transmission of information on the ground is difficult, the number of people may increase further.
