Huawei's revenue exceeded 700 billion, and the mobile phone business accounted for only half!
A few days ago, Cao Chong, deputy general manager of Huawei Technologies, said that by 2023, Huawei's revenue will reach 700 billion yuan, and enterprise network revenue will reach 100 billion yuan for the first time.
Although this 700 billion yuan is not Huawei's best result - Huawei's turnover in 2020 was 891.4 billion yuan, but it is the best result in recent years.
The chart above shows Huawei's turnover over the past six years. Huawei's turnover continues to grow, approaching the 900 billion yuan mark in 2021 and is about to exceed the trillion yuan mark.
But as we all know, it dropped sharply to 636.8 billion yuan in 2021 and rose from 636.8 billion yuan to 700 billion yuan in 2023, continuing to decline for three consecutive years until 2018, that is, nearly six years ago.
Many believe that this year's performance will be even better, thanks in large part to Huawei's comeback, especially the Mate60 series, which is one of the main contributors to Huawei's sales.
But in reality, mobile phones are still just a by-product for Huawei, and sales in 2022 will not bring much revenue to the company.
According to this figure, by 2023, Huawei will sell about 35 million devices, which is equivalent to a turnover of about 100 billion yuan at the average selling price.
For a market worth 700 billion yuan, the profit is only 100 billion yuan, or one-seventh of it.
Huawei is currently active in a variety of business areas, including 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2GT communications and network equipment, as well as AI chips, IoT chips, TVs, cloud computing, home routers, OLA systems, Hongmeng, smart cars, photovoltaic energy storage, PCs, tablets, and mobile phones.
Although Huawei's mobile phones have been hit hard, its revenue has not been affected much, because although the mobile phones have been suppressed, other companies can continue to operate, and they can't put all their eggs in one basket, and if one basket is damaged, the others will not be damaged, which is the advantage of diversification.
In fact, we all know that with the return of Kirin chips and the return of 5G, Huawei's mobile phone sales are expected to exceed 70 million units, that is, by 2023, Huawei's mobile phone sales will double.
This means that Huawei's turnover will peak in 2019 and 2020, exceeding 800 billion yuan.
