As one of the volunteers of Rizhao City, Li Mengyu participated in more than 20 volunteer service activities such as the National College Student Robot Competition, the 25th Shandong Provincial Games, the China Mountain Cross-Country Marathon, the Rizhao City Marathon and the beach cleanup, with a cumulative duration of 500 hours. These activities not only witnessed her growth, but also made her deeply aware of the responsibilities and responsibilities of the younger generation.
Talking about the original intention of volunteering, Li Mengyu recalled: "The first time I participated in these activities was when I was in junior high school, and under the influence of my mother, I often followed her to participate in some public welfare activities on weekends, such as visiting veterans in the Glory Home and cleaning up garbage in the community. After coming to Rizhao to attend university, with her rich volunteer service experience, she soon became a member of the Xiaohaibei volunteer team and participated in many large and small volunteer service activities. In these activities, she not only exercised her communication skills, organization and coordination skills and emergency response skills, but also deepened her understanding of the spirit of volunteerism in practice.
