Hosted by the China Rural Research Institute of Tsinghua University, the Tsinghua Rural Studies Doctoral Forum aims to provide a platform for outstanding doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows in agriculture-related fields across the country to learn from each other, broaden their academic horizons, and enhance their innovation capabilities. The 2024 Tsinghua Rural Studies Doctoral Forum will be held on May 25 (Saturday) at Tsinghua University for one day.
Forum Topics and Scope of Papers.
The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the first time proposed to "build livable, workable and beautiful villages", providing a program of action for future rural construction. In 2024, the No. 1 document proposes a "roadmap" for effectively promoting the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside, and takes the promotion of the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside as the general starting point of the "three rural" work in the new era and new journey. Building livable, workable and beautiful villages is not only the proper meaning of an agricultural power, but also an important measure to realize Chinese-style modernization. In the new journey of socialist modernization, exploring the mechanism and path of building livable, workable and beautiful villages can provide theoretical reference and action suggestions for the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas in the new era and new journey.
In this context, the theme of the 2024 Forum is:"Mechanism and path for building livable, workable and beautiful villages".。Promote the comprehensive revitalization of the countryside in line with the new era and new journey, build livable, workable and beautiful villages, and carry out multi-angle and multi-level activities around rural construction, rural governance, rural industry development, digital villages, and urban-rural integration.
Participants should be management or policy research in the field of "agriculture, agriculture and agriculture", and must focus on the theme of the forum and the above topics, and do not accept science and technology or engineering research as the main content. Encourage the submission of original case studies and investigative research results.
Essay Requirements:
1. Engaged in research on agriculture-related issues in universities and research institutions across the countryPh.D. students, postdoctoral fellows, and recent Ph.D. graduates (within two years of graduation).Essay. The submitted ** is required to be unpublished, with good frontier and originality, and to ensure that there is no copyright dispute, and the ** of multi-person cooperation must be the first author and only the first author will be invited to participate in the meeting.

The organizing committee of the forum will provide the participants with a working lunch on the day, and give the participants from outside Beijing a certain amount of accommodation and transportation subsidies.
