Promote pho in Vietnam. Hanoi, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) – The Pho Festival 2024 will be held from March 15 to 17 in Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province, known as the birthplace of Nam Dinh Qu Pai Pho (PH C).
The event was co-organized by the Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee and well-known pho units and brands across the country.
The 2024 Pho Festival, themed "Vietnam's Pho Road", celebrates Vietnam's culturally rich traditional cuisine that has many variations depending on the region. In addition to introducing the characteristics of Pho in Nam Dinh, the 2024 Pho Festival also introduces visitors to the flavorful specialties of Pho from all over the country, such as rice noodles in Hanoi, Pho in Ho Chi Minh City, Pho in Gia Lai, etc., as well as sour pho in Lang Son province, corn pho in Ha Giang province, and artichoke pho in Dong Nai province. In particular, the pho industry is in the process of being declared a national intangible cultural heritage.
The 3-day Pho Festival 2024 features more than 50 stalls divided into 3 zones: Pho Stalls in the North, Central, and South, Ingredients & Spices Stalls, and Standard Stalls. The booth is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The organizing committee revealed that the Pho brands participating in the 2024 Pho Festival will provide visitors with about 150,000-20,000 bowls of pho. Each coupon is equivalent to a bowl at any stall, and the full price is 15,000 VND (equivalent to RMB 4.)38 yuan).
The main activities of the Pho Festival 2024 include the pho making process in the past at Unqu Handicraft Village, roadshows, the Pho Industry Symposium from the past to the present, the Pho Giant Cauldron and other activities.
Le Thi Chit, chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial Food Culture Association, said that the purpose of the 2024 Pho Festival is to promote the traditional pho industry, and at the same time to help tourists and the public understand and taste the taste of pho and integrate it with the culture of all parts of the country. The Pho Festival 2024 will help Vietnamese Pho to integrate more strongly into the international community, and the value of Vietnamese food will occupy a more important place on the world food map. This is a great opportunity for Vietnam to introduce the products of food enterprises to the world through various trade promotion activities, and to promote the country's characteristic culture and food value, which will help promote Vietnam's economy, tourism potential and image.
