Password parsing and resetting of H3C switches.
The password of the H3C switch is like a mysterious magic spell that travels between different models and versions. The most common ones are "admin" or "password", but there are quite a few variations. If you are confused about this, it is recommended to read the equipment manual or ask the H3C magicians.
If I lose this magic spell, how do I get it back? First of all, we need to go back to the factory moment and get back that original magic. Create a local magic environment and connect the magic wand (serial) of your laptop or desktop computer to the magic temple (console) of the switch. Open your laptop's magic book (Windows 10 or Windows 11) and enter the magic name (connection name) to start your magic journey. Select the Magic Book (laptop)'s Magic Room (COM1 port) to start a conversation with the switch. Set the magic communication parameters: 9600bit s magic speed, 8 bits of magic data, 1 bit of magic pause, no check and no flow control, and start the magic connection.
When everything is ready, the switch's magic light (powered on) lights up, and the spellbook begins to display the device self-test information. When everything is ready, you will be prompted to hit enter, at which point you will see the command line spell "". At this moment, enter "systeam-view" to enter the magic configuration mode. In this mode, type "reset s**ed-configuration" and you will be asked if you really want to erase the magic profile, press "y" to continue. Then enter "reboot", the system asks again if you want to restart the device, press "y" again. At this point, the switch will perform a magic reboot and everything will return to its factory pristine state.
Once you've done that, your H3C switch will be as pure as a newborn baby, waiting for a new magic spell to be injected.
