Launched in 2022, the WIPO Global Awards have grown to become the most prestigious industry awards in the field of IP. Winners receive support for international promotion, global award ceremonies and networking events, personalized mentoring programs, funding, and business partnership opportunities. The 2024 WIPO Global Awards are open to SMEs and start-ups, and all types of enterprises are welcome to apply, and the Baoshan District Intellectual Property Office will provide guidance to the participating enterprises.
Application timeline. 15 January to 31 March 2024 CET.
Eligibility. Small and medium-sized enterprises:
1) The business is a registered business entity. Proof of registration is required.
2) No more than 300 employees, and total annual sales of no more than $15 million. (Equivalent to about 1.)0.2 billion yuan).
3) Have at least one registered intellectual property right.
4) Export products or services to at least one country.
Start-up: 1) The start-up is a registered business entity that has been in existence for no more than three years under the law. Proof of registration is required.
2) No more than 50 employees.
3) The start-up has an innovative product or service related to IP.
4) The start-up has submitted at least one application for registration of intellectual property rights, and is the holder of at least one registered intellectual property right.
5) The start-up is affiliated with a business support organization, such as an incubator, accelerator, or similar entity. Proof of affiliation is required.
6) The start-up has established a partnership with at least one business client, or has completed a commercial sale, or has secured an investor.
