Zhang Quan is on the 2023 Forbes China 30 under 30 list.
The following is an excerpt from the conversation between Forbes China and Zhang Quan.
Q: What was the inspiration for you and Wang Jiaer to co-found Team Wang Design and Team Holding Limited? What kind of ideas did you take to start your own business?
Zhang Quan:We've known each other since we were 13 and grew up together, so we know each other very well and share the same philosophy. We had the idea of working together a long time ago, but because we are both perfectionists, we spent a lot of time preparing in the early stage, hoping that Team Wang Design can continue to surprise and bring a unique experience to everyone.
Q: Could you please tell us about the business relationship between you and Wang Jiaer, and what is the division of labor between you?
Zhang Quan:We all have our own clear division of labor and areas that need to be responsible: I am mainly responsible for formulating the business strategic plan and the direction of the company; Jackson pays more attention to the creative level and the control of macro content presentation, so as to ensure the high level and efficiency of each project. As a CEO, I'm the one who makes ideas come to life, so that wild ideas can be better implemented and put into practice. This process requires efficient execution and precise control of operational details.
Q: As a fashion high street brand, what is the culture and philosophy of Team Wang Design? What makes it different?
Zhang Quan:Team Wang Design is not only a fashion brand, but also a platform for cooperation and communication in various fields such as culture, film, and sports. It's a place where people can communicate, co-create, and share experiences.
At the same time, it is also a new way of life and attitude to life, which is about the transmission of "know yourself": I hope you can learn to know yourself and always believe that you are the protagonist; Seize the opportunity to get closer and closer to your goal and create your own history "know yourself, make your own history".
What sets the brand apart is the diversity of content, such as the Sparkles collection Knock Knock or the Under the Castle haunted houses and markets, which are unprecedented in form and creativity.

Q: What kind of business does Team Holding Limited currently operate, and what is its business model and philosophy?
Zhang Quan:Team Holding is a holding company that invests in different sectors in the lifestyle sector. We are not defined by any single business. When everything is ready, we will start to crack down on the different industries one by one. Team Holding embodies our original intention and vision. In the future, we will continue to go deeper into more fields and gradually light up the business map of Team Holding.
Q: What are the development plans of Team Holding Limited in the near future? What are the long-term goals?
Zhang Quan:Recently, we are negotiating a number of projects related to the lifestyle sector, all of which are related to the spatial experience. This is also the original intention of our original intention of creating Team Holding and Team Wang Design, to share the experience with the public.
Q: What are your thoughts on the current fashion scene? What are your thoughts on the future direction of the fashion industry?
Zhang Quan:This is a new era, and in addition to learning and growing in history, we should recreate and redefine "fashion". Don't set limits on anything and use your imagination and creativity. Every breakthrough in the present, perseverance and love can create a new future.
Q: Could you please talk about your understanding of entrepreneurship based on your personal experience? What do you think is the quality of an entrepreneur?
Zhang Quan:I've tried a lot of different industry sectors and I've found that determination is the key to success in everything. You have to always be true to yourself, find something you love and believe in it. Learn to set goals quickly, cut through the complex, and efficiently break goals into executable tasks. Everyone needs to understand that the most important core of everything is yourself. Even in the face of setbacks, it is important to have faith and hope.
