Recently, colleges and universities in many places across the country have carried out "warm winter" activities to distribute down jackets to orphaned students and other students with financial difficulties. For example, a few days ago, the Student Affairs Department of Shandong Normal University issued the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in the 2023 "Winter Warm Sun" Special Funding Activities", which stated that the 2023 "Winter Warm Sun" special funding activities plan to distribute 1 down jacket to each student with special financial difficulties.
In addition, Northwest A&F University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Shandong Binzhou Medical College, Anhui National Defense Science and Technology Vocational College, Hebei Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College, Shenyang Jianzhu University and other colleges and universities have also introduced similar measures to distribute down jackets for poor students for free or carry out other forms of "winter warmth" activities. This move warmed the hearts of students and showed the care of colleges and universities for special students, so it was highly praised by all walks of life.
It is worth noting that this year's "Warm Winter" activities in colleges and universities have carried out various beneficial explorations in protecting the personal privacy of students in difficulty. For example, Northwest A&F University distributed new down jackets to more than 300 students from economically disadvantaged families. The school relies on the big data platform to accurately screen out the distribution list, notify students to try on and receive clothes point-to-point, and quietly send the school warmth to the students, fully protecting the personal privacy of students.
Most colleges and universities deliberately avoided the uniform style of down jackets when holding the "warm winter" activity, and some also asked students to wear masks at the event site, or "coded" the faces of funded students when they released the activities, which shows that colleges and universities are very careful about this. The balance between protecting privacy and safeguarding fairness is achieved to achieve the goal of "making good things good".
Caring for poor students is the consistent policy of the party, society, and colleges and universities. However, "poverty is also a kind of privacy", especially in the past, due to insufficient understanding of the psychological burden of poor students, some schools may require students to tell their poor family history, expose their scars in public, or disclose their life experiences without consent, which has invisibly caused "secondary damage" to students' self-esteem. And making love "quiet" is undoubtedly a kind of progress.
When we release kindness, we inadvertently make the dignity and privacy of the recipient unobstructed, which is an unintentional harm to the recipient, and even goes against the original intention of Bhakti. Judging from the "warm winter" activities of various colleges and universities this year, it is very gratifying. In short, free down jackets are distributed, and "quiet love" should be praised. Helping students takes into account privacy, which is what love should look like.
