When you are middle-aged, please put away your enthusiasm”
This sentence seems to warn us that as the years go by, life is no longer as frenetic and impulsive as when we were younger. In middle age, we gradually learn to find deep meaning in the midst of unwavering.
At this stage, we begin to pay more attention to the inner voice rather than the external evaluation. We have learned to draw wisdom from past experiences and strength from setbacks. Life is no longer a race to fame and fortune, but a journey to go deep into oneself and explore one's heart.
We begin to cherish the present instead of indulging in endless hopes for the future or meaningless nostalgia for the past. We have learned how to find the extraordinary in the ordinary of daily life, and how to find the source of happiness in the small things. In middle age, we understand better that the true meaning of life lies in experiencing every moment, rather than constantly pursuing the next peak.
In the process, we come to understand that true maturity is not the growth of age, but the deepening of the heart. We begin to understand that the value of life is not in how much we have, but in how we feel and experience each moment.
Middle age is a journey of self-discovery and growth. It teaches us how to remain calm in the midst of change and find direction in the midst of challenges. In this period, we no longer pursue the ups and downs, but learn to find the meaning of life in the long stream.
