They met through a seminar on the publication of his new book "Listening to the Soul" by Professor Shiqi in 2006, which was held at Peking University. Mr. Shiqi is a senior cultural scholar. "Listening to the Soul" is the first collection and publication of his literary criticism, reading essays, book reviews, travelogues and other articles.
Ms. Shiqi often travels to Beijing to attend cultural and academic seminars. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Shiqi. I knew that he was a humanities scholar, a senior publisher, and a literary critic, but I didn't know that he was also very accomplished in calligraphy, and his skills were not shallow. Once, during a meeting at the Lu Xun Museum, Mr. Shiqi presented me with a calligraphy work of his, which was written by Mr. Dongpo's "Water Tune Song Tou Chibi Nostalgia". I was pleasantly surprised.
Teacher Shiqi's eight-foot folio masterpiece is chic and vivid. Mr. Shiqi's calligraphy contains a rich literati temperament, I like it very much, and I have collected it to this day. That day, I took it home from work, and my father liked it very much, and was about to hang it in his "Little Stone House" study to admire. I think in his heart, he must have enjoyed another happy time. It can also be seen that he has a deep relationship with Mr. Shiqi's literati.
When Mr. Shiqi came to Beijing, he would come to my house for a party, and his father invited him into his bedroom and study. My father's study was called "Little Stone House" because he collected a lot of ornamental stones in the study. My father is very fond of the Lingbi Stone with its elegant style. In the atmosphere set off by the literary play, he and the like-minded teacher Shiqi talked about poetry and literature very happily.
I didn't disturb them, I read quietly in my room, and I heard their high-minded comments on literature, history, and philosophy and hearty laughter from time to time in the "Little Stone House". This kind of literary nourishment should be extremely beneficial to me, who is very fond of literature. I can't help but admire the beauty of Mr. Shiqi's first anthology titled "Listening to the Soul".
When my father's book "Two Collections of Shizhai Words" was published, he wrote on a copy he gave me: "Chen'er, keep it. The sound of the small stone house that you see every day. "Today, it seems that the voice of ** literature issued by Xiaoshiju mentioned here should also include the voice of cultural research scholars who visit Xiaoshiju. Of course, it also contains the voice of Mr. Shiqi and the literary insights of Mr. Shiqi.
Every time I met with Mr. Shiqi and talked freely, my father would invite him to a famous Wenzhou restaurant near our house to eat southern food. This is one of my father's favorite restaurants, and I often book a table in advance. My father's best at combining food and culture in his life can be regarded as a kind of Yaxing!With Mr. Shiqi, he introduced the southern cuisine, and he must have talked about the cultural differences of "Jinghai Evening View".
When my father moved to Canada and unfortunately passed away, Mr. Shiqi wrote a memorial article "Master is kind and seductive - Mr. Wu Fuhui in my eyes", which wrote: "Before Mr. Wu moved to Canada, he said goodbye to me on WeChat, and I said that it would not be easy to meet in the future, when will he return to Beijing, and I rushed to meet him.
