With the rise of the digital economy, workers with digital skills are becoming increasingly popular in the job market. For some liberal arts students, due to the lack of core technology and relatively ordinary competitiveness, "text transcoding" has become a popular choice. On December 19, the human resource service provider Future Worry-Free released the "2023 Survey on the Status and Trend of Liberal Arts Background Transcoding".

Men's willingness to "transcode" is higher than that of women, 382% plan to learn programming on their own.

According to the survey, nearly half of the respondents are interested in "transcoding", but they are not motivated to act. 30.6% have a strong willingness to "transcode", 215% said they were not interested. Among the highly willing groups, 76% were men and 24% were women.

In terms of the choice of learning Xi methods, the data shows that 549% are more inclined to participate in training institutions for systematic Xi, 382% of respondents plan to learn Xi programming through self-study. And studying abroad for further study (21%), interdisciplinary further studies (4.).9%) are relatively few choices, or related to factors such as time and economic costs.

Fresh graduates have high enthusiasm for transcoding, and interprofessional students account for more than 6 percent.

According to the survey, the phenomenon of "transcoding" among young people who are not majoring in computer science is more common than a few years ago. According to the statistics of an IT vocational training institution, 33% of the students who Xi programming courses are fresh graduates. Specific to the professional background, 67% of the students are interprofessional Xi, and the original majors are mostly business administration, logistics management, accounting, surveying and mapping, tourism, e-commerce, and literature. In the distribution of academic qualifications, more than half of them have a college degree or below, followed by a bachelor's degree (48%), and a high proportion of students have a high proportion.

Within 5 years, the peak period of "transcoding" is the part-time job, and the cross-industry proportion is 35%.

Further analysis of the portrait of "transcoder" shows that nearly 7 percent of people with work experience in the workplace, of which 1-5 years of work experience accounts for the highest proportion. Specific to the industry background, the proportion of cross-industry is 35%, and the original industry positions mainly include sales, catering services, assembly line workers, K12 teachers, manufacturing, administrative clerks, etc. Through interviews, it was learned that most of the trainees changed careers because the development of the industry was not as expected, and they had a higher pursuit of job content, salary, and career development path, hoping to seek new career possibilities.

Among the specific reasons for transcoding, "high salary" (95%), "more job opportunities" (83%), and "good IT industry" (70%) were the most frequently cited choices by respondents. The National Bureau of Statistics also pointed out that in the past year, the average wage of employed persons in urban units was 1140 thousand. The average salary of persons employed in the "information transmission, computer services and software industries" is 2240,000, ranking first among 19 industry categories, 26 higher than the second-ranked "financial industry".43%。

There are challenges on the road to transcoding, but the value of transcoding is still recognized by 7 out of 10 respondents.

Digital skills are just the beginning, and transcoding can be challenging. Among them, 57% of respondents cited "lack of programming foundation" as the biggest obstacle, followed by "difficulty adapting to technological updates and changes" (44.).3%), competitive pressure and limited employment opportunities" (457%), high cost of learning Xi" (447%)。In addition, 343% of non-academic students lack self-confidence, 217% are concerned about unclear career paths.

Despite the challenges, more than 7 in 10 respondents still recognize the value of transcoding, believing that mastering digital skills will lead to more opportunities for career advancement. However, 63% have a negative view of this. And 233% of respondents have reservations that there is a need to weigh it against individual circumstances and market demand.

The supply and demand of development posts are booming, 767% of respondents believe that skill level determines salary level.

The level of salary after transcoding depends on several factors. Of these, the "technical level" was considered the decisive factor, there were 767% chose that option. Secondly, work experience (63%) and industry sector (45%) are also important factors affecting the wage gap.
