Optics Valley s black technology can take pictures of cancer cells and screen for cervical cancer

The key to cervical cancer** is early screening, but in some areas, due to the lack of cytopathologists and examination conditions, patients are often found to be at an advanced stage.

The "master" in a specialized and new enterprise in Optics Valley has successfully solved this problem, and he has applied artificial intelligence and big data cloud platform technology to early cancer screening, caring for the health of countless women.

Sun Xiaorong was admitted to Tongji Medical University in Wuhan in 1977 and worked as a researcher at a Canadian cancer institute after studying abroad. In 2000, she gave up the preferential treatment of foreign clinicians and returned to China to start a business and set up a smart medicine company, specializing in the research and development of smart devices for cancer screening.

Sun Xiaorong, chairman of Wuhan Landing Intelligent Medical Co., Ltd.:I saw the prototype of this kind of artificial intelligence abroad, and I knew that there was a lack of such (pathological) doctors in China, so I resolutely returned to China and zeroed out the process of studying medicine for more than 20 years.

Sun Xiaorong and her team modeled the artificial diagnosis information of cervical cancer accumulated by the domestic medical community for decades, and established the country's largest big data diagnosis cloud platform for cervical cancer screening.

Sun Xiaorong, chairman of Wuhan Landing Intelligent Medical Co., Ltd.:It turns out that a patient's specimen is placed on a microscope after it is released, and people (pathologists) look for cancer cells on the microscope, and (now) use the data to determine which cells are normal and which are cancerous cells, and an experienced doctor may be able to complete a diagnosis in 30 seconds.

Relying on the cytopathology cloud diagnosis platform, Sun Xiaorong's team participated in the cervical cancer screening project for 12.67 million urban and rural women in Hubei Province. At present, this technology is also being extended to screening for oral cancer, bladder cancer, gastric cancer and other fields.

Sun Xiaorong, chairman of Wuhan Landing Intelligent Medical Co., Ltd.:Our goal is to be able to solve the diagnosis of some of these common diseases at the county level, and it is of high quality, and it takes the diagnosis of tumors forward.

Landing's innovative artificial intelligence cervical cancer screening technology has passed the U.S. FDA, EU CE and other certifications, and obtained a number of national patents, which reduces the cost of diagnosis and treatment in hospitals, improves the efficiency of screening, and alleviates the problem of lack of cytopathologists at the grassroots level.
