Inspired by the exterior of the circus entrance and referencing the history of early touring shows. The renovation works will cost 1At $400 million, it will be Australia's largest regional arts centre, with a diverse range of performance venues and spaces.

Inside, there are a series of multi-purpose spaces for arts and performances and community events. The 500-seat theater, up to 800 seats in singing mode, and the hybrid theater called Open House, which can reach 250 seats connected to the nearby neighborhood square, will become an extension of the public space, as well as a bar and alfresco dining, and will provide a diverse community experience such as conferences, exhibitions, festivals, and markets, as well as flexible spaces for professionals and amateurs.

Unpretentious, open, and extending into the public realm, the arts centre will become a world-class cultural venue in Geelong.
