Product range.

KUKA robot products can be divided into small robots, low loads, medium loads, high loads, heavy loads, collaborative series, with a load range of 3 1 300 kg, as shown in Figure 21 shown.

The following is a brief introduction to the main models of KUKA robots (the specific parameters and specifications are subject to the latest official data released by KUKA).

1.Small robots.

The KUKA KR4 R600 robot is a compact robot with a rated load of 4 kg, a body mass of approx. 27 kg, a working space of up to 601 mm, and a repeatability of 002 mm。Main applications: assembly, material handling, loading and unloading, machining, spraying, gluing, etc., as shown in Figure 22 shown.

2.Low load.

The KUKA KR 16-2 robot is compact and has excellent maneuverability, with a rated load of 16 kg, a body mass of 235 kg, a working range of up to 1 611 mm, and a repeatability of 005 mm。Main applications: cutting, loading and unloading, material handling, assembly, measurement, etc., as shown in Figure 23 shown.

3.Medium load.

The KUKA KR 60 HA robot has a rated load of 60 kg, a body mass of 665 kg, a working area of up to 2 033 mm, and a repeatability of 015 mm。Main application: High-precision operation, especially suitable for laser applications or component measurement, as shown in Figure 24.

4.High load.

The KR 240 R3200 PA robot is a large, high-speed robot with a rated load of 240 kg, a body mass of 1103 kg, a working area of up to 3 195 mm and a repeatability of 006 mm。Main applications: assembly, palletizing, material handling, loading and unloading, machining, etc., as shown in Figure 25.

5.Heavy loads.

The KR 1000 TITAN robot has a wide range of motion and a large load capacity to handle heavy loads quickly. It has a rated load of 1 000 kg, a body mass of 4 700 kg, a working area of 3 202 mm and a repeatability of 01 mm。Main applications: machining, loading and unloading, material handling, packaging, material picking, etc. It can accurately convey motor units, masonry, glass, steel beams, ship parts, aircraft parts, marble wool blocks, concrete products, etc., as shown in Figure 26.

6.Cobots.

The LBR IIWA 14 R820 robot is KUKA's first mass-produced sensitive robot and a robot with human-robot collaboration capabilities. Its characteristics: fast response, self-adaptive, high sensitivity, independence. It has a rated load of 3 kg, a body mass of 30 kg, a working area of up to 820 mm and a repeatability of 015 mm。Main applications: measuring, testing, assembly, gluing, etc., as shown in Figure 27.

Terminology. There are a lot of terminology that you will encounter in the process of learning the KUKA robot, which you will encounter in teaching pendants, manuals, and related books. The terms commonly used by KUKA robots are shown in Table 21。
