The literati of the past generations have formed an indissoluble bond with it, often singing wine with poetry, brewing poetry with wine, increasing the meaning of wine, helping poetry to flourish, staggering with money, and Huazhang sweating cattle. Cao Cao once wrote a poem: "Be generous, and worry is unforgettable;."How to solve the worries, only Du KangDu Fu has a poem: "Du Kang works hard to persuade Zhang Li, and Zhang Li does not ask for anything else." However, today we are not going to talk about Du Kang, but about the people who made the wine.
Character profile: According to the "Historical Records", Du Kang was the monarch of the Xia Dynasty, a Taoist, and a legendThe ancestor of winemakingIt is recorded in "Shuo Wen Jie Zi": "Du Kang began to make wine. Also known as Shaokang, the monarch of the Xia Dynasty, a Taoist celebrity. Because Du Kang is good at winemaking, later generations will respect Du Kang as the god of wine, and the wine industry will worship Du Kang as the ancestor. In later generations, "Du Kang" was used to refer to wine.
About Du Kang, in factAccounts vary, one way of saying:Minister of the Yellow Emperor
Legend has it that during the period of the Yellow Emperor, there was a man named Du Kang, who was a grain official. At that time, with the development of productive forces, grain production gradually increased. But the problem is that there is too much food to eat, so it can only be stored in a cave, and the cave is dark and damp, and after a long time, it will rot. When Du Kang saw it, he felt that it was too wasteful, so he began to think of other ways to store grain.
One day, while walking in the woods, Du Kang found a few dead trees, leaving only the thick and empty trunks, and he had a flash of inspiration and poured the grain into the dry trunks. After some time, Du Kang went to check how it was doing, and he was surprised to find some wild boars, goats, and rabbits lying in front of the dead trees where the grain was stored, motionless, as if they were dead. He hurriedly approached to see what was going on, and the trunk of the tree where the grain was stored had cracked a few cracks, and a lot of water was oozing out of it. It seems that the animals were lying down after drinking water.
But what is the magic of this water?Du Kang leaned over to smell it, and a fresh fragrance came to his face, and he had the courage to taste a few sips, and he was immediately refreshed. So, Du Kang brought this "magic water" back and invited everyone to taste it. In this way, this "magic water" - wine gradually became popular among the people, and Du Kang was also revered as the "god of wine".
There is another way of saying that:Monarch of the Xia Dynasty
According to the record of "Shuowen Jie Zi": "The ancients Shaokang first made baskets, brooms, and wine. Shao Kang, Du Kang also. This Shaokang is the person who "Shaokang Zhongxing".
Main Achievements:
Judging from the classic records, Du Kang's contribution was mainly to make rice wine. Rice wine is a sake made from sorghum, which is what we often call grain wine now, so it is revered by later generations as the originator of winemaking and the saint of wine, also known as the ancestor of wine.
There are many historical documents about Du Kang's liquor, such as the "Short Song Xing" just mentioned, "How to solve worries, only Du Kang." There is also Zhu Yizhong of the Song Dynasty in the "Book of Wine" wrote: "Du Kang made wine." Chen Weisong of the Qing Dynasty has words in "Manjianghong, Wen Ruan Ting's Letter of Dismissal and Sending Xiqiao": "Make the gradual departure and harmony, Du Kangzuo brewing." ”
Historical Legends:
China is one of the countries with a long history of winemaking in the world, as early as the oracle bone inscription in the Yin Shang period, there were pictographs of wine, and in the Zhou Dynasty, China's winemaking technology has developed to a considerable level.
Legend has it that one day Du Kang dreamed of a white-bearded old man at night, saying that he wanted to give Du Kang a spring of water, and Du Kang would go to the opposite mountain in nine days to find three different drops of human blood and drop them into the spring water, so that he could get the most beautiful "magic water" in the world. Du Kang got up the next day and found that there was indeed a spring in the courtyard, which was clear and transparent. So he hurried into the mountains to look for three drops of blood. On the third day, he met a literati, and the two of them recited poems together, and they became intimate, and Du Kang asked the literati to cut off his finger and drip a drop of bloodOn the sixth day, Du Kang met a samurai, and after explaining his intentions, the samurai did not say a word, and cut his finger with a knife to leave a second drop of blood for Du Kang. On the last day, Du Kang saw a fool under a tree, extremely sloppy, but seeing that the deadline was approaching, Du Kang spent a tael of silver and bought a drop of the fool's blood. After collecting three drops of blood, Du Kang poured the blood into the spring, and the spring water immediately tumbled, steaming hot, and fragrant. When Du Kang tasted it, he was like a fairy. Because this "magic water" took nine days and three drops of blood, Du Kang named it "wine".
It is precisely because the three drops of blood of Xiucai, samurai, and fool are at work, so people generally follow these three procedures when drinking: the first stage, toast to each other, exhort each other, just like Xiucai chanting poems against each other, full of literary atmosphere; In the second stage, after three rounds of wine, he drank it all without saying much, as if he was as generous and bold as a samuraiIn the third stage, the drunken person is mad, or he vomits on the ground, or he vomits wildly, or he lies everywhere, like a stupid person who is unconscious and shameless.
Later generations:
In order to commemorate Du Kang, later generations built temples and palaces, such as Luoyang Du Kang Temple and Du Kang Xianzhuang. There are also many hymn poems, such as Tao Yuanming's "Stop Drinking": "Yi Di made, Du Kang polished". Bai Juyi's "Paying Dreams is Better Than Daylilies": "Du Kang can relieve boredom, and daylilies can relieve worries". Su Shi's "Quotation with Tao Zhijiu": "From now on, the Dongpo room will not be established."
Although the winemaking method of Du Kang has been lost, the historical brand of Du Kang has survived to this day.
