Zhou Xiaofeng's picture book work seminar was held at the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles Art Workshop a few days ago. Zhou Xiaofeng, a famous writer who has won many awards such as the Lu Xun Literature Award and the National Outstanding Children's Literature Award, tried to cooperate with outstanding illustrators this time to open the door to wonderful literature for young readers with picture book creation.

The set of fairy tale picture books discussed that day consisted of four children's books: "Leading Animals to the Zoo", "Worried About Not Being Able to Raise My Little Pig", "Something Beautiful and No One Wants", and "A Particularly Slow Express Mail". This set of fairy tale picture books, each one has a heart-warming story, with a reassuring ** story, so that every child feels warm and bright in their hearts. This set of picture books also nourishes children's minds with delicate and warm zoos, fresh and lively green grasslands, dreamy aquariums, and simple and natural suburban life.

Tian Peng, a first-level inspector of the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, believes that Zhou Xiaofeng did not condescendingly teach and guide child readers from an adult perspective, but really sank into their hearts, discovered their needs, and sincerely understood and cared for them. He Xiangyang, director of the Creation and Research Department of the China Writers Association, believes that Zhou Xiaofeng's picture books are written with motherhood, and the writer creates them with a kind of overlooking and compassionate bosom.

Zhou Xiaofeng revealed that he planned to create 16 picture books, and has now completed 8 stories. "Children's literature is not easy to write, and I can never pretend to be a child. But I can be a child who is full of longing, curiosity, change, expecting miracles, and possibly accidental blows, which gives me the ability to grow backwards in writing. ”

The symposium was hosted by the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Beijing Normal University, and organized by the Beijing Writers Association, the School of Literature of Beijing Normal University and CITIC Publishing Group.
