The salary problem of Fangzhi Real Estate, a Cantonese real estate company, continues.
Recently, a number of departing employees have complained to us that Fangzhi seems to have taken a negative attitude on the salary issue, and the original promise has been repeatedly postponed and finally failed to be fulfilled.
Since April 2022, Fangzhi Group has had problems with payroll, and then the situation of wage arrears persisted, and the problem became more serious in the first half of this year.
Up to now, Fangzhi Group has accumulated about 4 months of arrears of wages to employees, as well as discounted wages that have not been paid before, as well as bonuses and sales commissions.
In June this year, Fangzhi Group promised to settle all wage arrears by the end of the year.
The implementation of the plan is to pay 5 to 20 per cent of the previous arrears of wages each month, and to pay all of them by the end of the year.
At that time, employees felt hopeful and began to have confidence in the company again.
However, the actual situation is not ideal. 10 per cent of wage arrears were paid in June, another 6 per cent in July, and only 5 per cent per month from August to November.
In total, only 31% of the previous commitments have been achieved, which is far from the target.
With the new year just around the corner, it became clear that the mid-year commitments would not be met, and the Group said it would resolve all unpaid wages by the middle of next year.
But at this point, few people believe it anymore.
Because the company promises to pay salaries, many employees are willing to continue working or even pay for it out of their own pockets.
But as December came to an end and payroll was still inadequate, many people began to feel the pressure, and some employees recently chose to leave their jobs, believing that there was no point in continuing to work.
The company's HR department also conveyed a message to the employees, asking them to give the company enough time and not to resort to legal action or arbitration, otherwise the unpaid wages would be slower.
If there is an objection, the employee can try legal avenues.
It is true that some departing employees have not received arrears of wages for a long time and have tried to seek wages through legal means, but the effect is not obvious.
Even if the arbitration is successful, and the court is applied to enforce Fangzhi's property, it is found that many ** merchants have frozen a large number of Fangzhi's accounts in advance, and there are not many high-quality assets available for enforcement.
What's more, some employees revealed that Fangzhi is not completely without funds, and there are still some funds flowing in, but these funds are prioritized for other matters.
The issue of employees' wages is not paid enough attention, and the company's attitude begins to become negative.
The end of the year is approaching, and there are still some real estate companies in Guangdong, Fujian, Chongqing, and Henan that have varying degrees of wage arrears, ranging from 1 to 5 months.
If these wages are not recovered in time, most of the hard work of the workers may be in vain.
