On December 18, 2023, Professor Yang Xinlei's academic monograph "Rushing Thoughts: The Support and Promotion of Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture to Film and Television Media" was officially published by Nanjing University Press, 500,000 words, 526 pages, ISBN 978-7-305-24947-1, CIP (2023) No. 196419, Chinese simplified Chinese, 1 16 folio, paperback, first printing of 3,000 copies, public distribution at home and abroad.

"Rushing Thoughts" aims to improve the strong radiation of Chinese excellent traditional culture to movies and TV dramas, emphasizing that the creation and criticism of film and television dramas must be rooted in profound traditional heritage, and the ideological height of film and television works must rely on Chinese culture. The book is divided into two parts: the upper part is called "Film and Television Survey of Chinese Studies," and the lower part is called "Images Outside the Images Between Spaces." The upper part includes the author's essays on the deep relationship between film and television and Chinese culture, with a total of 120 articles. The author has a solid foundation in "primary school", and has been engaged in film and television theory and practice all year round, so he can find errors in the subtitles of many TV dramas, and identify the flaws of some film and television works, so he will be investigated and executed. Then, the author dispelled some famous works and monuments related to film and television, and explored the context. The upper edition does not seek a broad body and week, only a glimpse of the leopard, the rain runs the yellow sand, and many major propositions in the study of Chinese culture are written by the author, "resignation and purpose, near and far" (Liu Xian's "Wenxin Carving Dragon, Zongjing"). Reading it, the heaviness of Chinese culture is awe-inspiring, and the paleness of film and television is awe-inspiring. The second part has a total of 16 articles**, trying to analyze problems in the integration of art and technology, the penetration of humanities and nature, break through the trap of film criticism and interpretation, and lead film and television research into an interdisciplinary and multi-dimensional. The following part pays attention to interdisciplinarity, cross-border connection, dramatic originality, painstaking efforts, and unpretentiousness, condensing the author's mind and intelligence, and showing the commutability of film and television media, so as to "not be the same, not different, different paths, the same end, comb and disagree together" (Liu Dajun's words). This book mainly focuses on drama, film and television and journalism and communication, including film studies, radio and television arts, communication, etc., which can be used as a reference for teachers and students majoring in humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities at all levels across the country, and is a rare mentor and friend for undergraduates and graduate students in film and television media.
