In 1907, in Linfen, Jiangxi, a baby boy was born in the home of the local eunuch, his name was Zheng Yunxia. His father, who had studied in Japan, was a distinguished student at the University of Tokyo, and was also a member of the League, serving in the Generalissimo of Sun Yat-sen's office. Zheng Yunxia grew up in this unique family and can be called the son of the golden key.
After becoming an adult, Zheng Yunxia was successively admitted to Shanghai Law School and the fourth phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, and became classmates with ** and Zhang Lingfu. He had two hard diplomas and was quickly appreciated by Chen Lifu and Chen Guofu. In 1938, the Japanese invaded China in an all-round way, and the Battle of Taierzhuang broke out. Zheng Yunxia led the political work team to the front line, participated in the Battle of Taierzhuang, held on to Tengxian County, fought fiercely with the Japanese invaders, and fought for positions many times. He witnessed the scene of Wang Mingzhang, a famous patriotic general in China, who was hit by more than 30 bullets and martyred his country. This made Zheng Yunxia angry, and his grief and indignation gave birth to his adaptation of Yue Fei's "Man Jianghong".
After the end of the Battle of Taierzhuang, Zheng Yunxia participated in a series of battles in which the Chinese Expeditionary Force invaded Burma. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Zheng Yunxia was promoted to lieutenant general, and served in the Kuomintang secret service, participating in the famous "Bloody Case", both as a commander and a personal participant.
After liberation, Zheng Yunxia began to lurk and flee on the mainland. He had fled to Sichuan, but was kidnapped by bandits, but fortunately, he was familiar with the black language of the Sichuan robe brother and managed to get out of the predicament. Later, he worked in a mustard factory in Fuling, but due to some gaffes, he aroused suspicion and became the target of the Public Security Department of the Military Management Commission. On May 20, 1958, Zheng Yunxia** became the last general to be captured after the civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. Although the death penalty was later pardoned to 15 years' imprisonment, pardon was granted in 1975.
In his later years, Zheng Yunxia became a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and devoted himself to the cause of cross-strait reunification. He passed away on July 10, 2009, at the age of 102.
