Basic Bits is a Miami Beach-based startup that brings nutrition back to basics by incorporating premium ingredients into mouth-watering raw snack balls that are so delicious you'll forget they're healthy.
Basic Bits' mission is clear: to simplify healthy snacking. We built our brand strategy, visual identity, and voice around bold simplicity. We use bold colors and simple but bold key messages to quickly grab shoppers' attention.
We've developed a straightforward visual identity with a no-fuss approach to packaging design that tells you exactly what you're going to eat on the front of each bag. Choosing to initially launch a basic primary color palette further strengthens our "back to basics" strategy. Subsequently, the brand's extended range of functional probiotic snack balls introduced a secondary palette.
We also produced, directed, and executed the brand's product photography, which used a bold graphic layout with vibrant colors to tell a very clear visual story to understand the simple ingredients in each flavor.
Like many of the food startups we work with, the founders of Basic Bits are new to the food industry. Design WOMB has helped pave the way in many uncharted territories, including group consultations with our team, as well as our favorite industry retail experts from our network of trusted resources.
The startup's founders also wanted to offer professionally printed packaging at launch, along with a limited number of packages per SKU. We found and established the right printers for smaller minimum order quantities to help fill in the gaps in the brand's initial launch without compromising on beautiful packaging design.
