Modular design has always been a design method that we are very familiar with, whether it is in a design competition, or when drawing a quick question for graduate school, the modular design concept is a kind of "panacea".
Although we have been using this design method, it is limited to understanding and applying modularity for the sake of "modularity", and it is not flexible enough. Today I would like to share with you a few modular design products, hoping to bring you some inspiration.
friendly
This friendly modular furniture is designed for modern interiors and is built on the principles of minimalism. It has five basic modules that can be used to make almost any sofa configuration and fit into any interior.
Each module of the system can also be used as a full-fledged internal element on its own. The design of the product has a recognizable Zegan style, consisting of a thin metal frame and a soft base.

electric
It is a modular mobility tool called electric, which is faster than pedestrians and suitable for driving closer than cars, and can solve the problem of the last mile between the station and the final destination of public transport.
Electricity is used as a power source to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy consumption. It also provides the convenience of short trips and can alleviate traffic congestion by reducing the use of private vehicles.
At the same time, it provides walking assistance for the physically disadvantaged and the elderly, and is also a popular mode of transportation for young people with low car ownership.

Weeday tube
The Weeday Pipe is a modular pipe with a modular design of the pipe that allows for thorough cleaning of 5 components and customization of silicone parts and potentially future parts.
We also added a steel plucking stick and integrated it into the design so that it could be used when needed. The pipes are made of hand-blown durable borosilicate glass with an ultra-soft silicone lid (anti-static and UV treated) and the pipes are gift-wrapped and protective packaging that includes an additional bowl.

Multi-purpose modular bookshelves
In today's digital age, it can be a challenge to nurture a child's love of reading and encourage a child's imagination. However, this groundbreaking multi-purpose modular bookshelf product has emerged that not only solves the storage problem, but also transforms the children's room into a creative and exploratory realm.
With a capacity of 1,200 books, this rotating picture bookshelf is a unique and versatile piece of furniture that is not just a bookshelf but also a big toy at home.

kano-xp
Designed to be a direct opposition to devices that encourage endless** consumption, the Kano-XP focuses on creation and experimentation.
Inspired by the Game Boy, the Kano-XP has a modular interface system that allows you to switch between game controls, synthesizers, and MIDI keyboards.
Kano-XP is designed to help teens create (and occasionally have fun) to experience the joy of creating before they get addicted to social and streaming apps.

The inspiration for the Spring project** was the observation of a dumbbell bar in a gym. A modular system of components that can be replicated in various forms, enabling the creation of different variants and combinations.

Modular sofas
A Copenhagen-based design firm has come up with a speculative design for a modular sofa that can be packed in a bag and easily transported.
These flat-packed pieces of furniture soon turned into prototypes that were exhibited at the Copenhagen Architecture Festival. Although it may take a while for us to actually see it available, it still presents interesting possibilities.
