Baumüller DC servo drive alarm F0016 repair.
Baumüller DC Servo Drive Repair: A Baumüller servo drive can also be called an amplifier because it is able to take control signals from all controllers and upgrade them to provide a certain amount of motor voltage and current. Servo drives are used in robotics, automation, CNC machining, and even in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Repair and maintenance of Baumüller variable frequency drives:
Ground Fault: The fault "F0016 Earth Fault" (displayed on the keyboard of the Baumüller servo drive) indicates the presence of a ground fault. This simply means that the drive has detected a ground fault in the motor cable or in the motor.
Recommended action: Check that the grounding settings of the motor and motor cables are correct. Ensure that the motor cable length does not exceed the declared specifications of the Baumiller drive.
Check the correct fault function parameter settings.
Make sure that you enter the correct value in the programmable fault function setting for parameter 3017.
Parameter 3017 "Earth fault" selects how the Baumiller servo drive reacts when a ground fault is detected on the motor or motor cable. This protection function is only valid during drive startup. Detecting a ground fault on the input power line does not activate this feature. 1 = Opt-in by default.
