Baumiller servo drive overload fault repair

Servo drive overload.

1.Cause of failure: Excessive load, overload run time exceeds the drive's overload protection time.

Solution: Choose a driver with high power and strong overload capacity.

2.Cause of failure: The servo motor brake is not fully opened.

Solution: Check the brake line of the motor.

3.Cause of failure: The motor and drive are not mismatched.

Solution: Optional higher power servo drive.

4.Cause of failure: The ambient temperature around the drive, exceeding the value required by its specifications.

Solution: Replace the motor that matches the drive.

Faulty braking resistor of the servo drive.

1.Cause of failure: The braking resistor is not connected or the resistance value is too large.

When the motor is in braking condition, the load side feeds back energy to the driver bus, if the driver can not consume these energies through the braking resistor in time, the bus voltage will continue until the OU overvoltage fault is reported.

Solution: Check whether the braking resistor connection is reliable, and confirm whether the braking resistor resistance value meets the requirements of the product manual.

2.Cause of failure: Brake or deceleration time is too short.

If the braking or deceleration time of the driver is too small, the power is large under the braking and deceleration conditions, which exceeds the bearing value of the braking unit, resulting in the bus voltage exceeding the set value.

Solution: Under the condition of satisfying the control requirements, adjust the control parameters of the drive, such as appropriately increasing (or prolonging) the braking time or deceleration time.

3.Cause of failure: The power supply input voltage is too large.

It is mainly the impulse overvoltage on the power supply side, the overvoltage formed by the compensation capacitor when it is closed or disconnected, etc., and the main characteristics are that the voltage change rate and amplitude are very large.

Solution: Add an absorption device (parallel surge absorption device or series reactor, etc.) on the input side of the power supply.
